Wow the networks have sunk to a new low.Stupid FCC

Maybe the WWE told them to do it cause if people see that the hat gets censored they'll go "Wow! I got to get one of those!"

Yeah i was gonna say austins shirt basically had "fuck" on it with a skull taking the place of the u, why wasn't that censored.

With regards to Austin though, fuck rules was on RAW, which is on cable tv; not sure if that makes a difference.

The FCC is nothing but a bunch of hypocritical bastards. They're super taboo about language and sex, but you can see a guy getting shot graphically on TV... that's no problem. :roll:

This thread is priceless. Anyway, sorry to break the mood, but I really think they need to move SmackDown! to a different station. I really think it would benefit them to get one that would let them drop the "F-Bomb" on TV (Hey, that can be the new name of Cena's Killswitch/Protobomb).

They probably won't do anything, but raising the restriction limit and going live would really help SmackDown! get a footing. I know they get similiar ratings to RAW, but you may as well do everything you can to juice up your shows.

It's basically because SmackDown is on UPN, and they are too scared of another thing happening with the PTC or something like that, so they try to take the easy way out, which is a big mistake.

And the reason why Austin's shirt was not censored? Look what channel RAW is on. Spike TV, and they've let RAW get away with a TON more than that. SmackDown is on networks, on which gets a TON of more heat (for some reason, the FCC lets cable get away with a HELL of a lot more than they let the broadcast networks get away with, especially after that thing concernening Janet Jackson last year, them getting scared to see another BREAST on TV again, God forbid :roll: ). I'm not surprised that the hat was censored (they censor ALOT of Cena's stuff on UPN when he would've not even gotten a thought of a push of the button if he was on RAW).

Well the reason Austin's shirt was not censored is obvious, it's on live TV. You can't really censor it when it's live. I do think UPN are being stupid though. They censor Cena's stuff but when they show crowd shots and the fans are wearing the shirts, it's not censored.

it's different, most of the time the bottom word is sliced by the barricade.

This just goes to show how paranoid America is these days, honestly, on Fox news(i dont watch that channel that much if at all, only when i want to laugh at the pathetic things i hear from them) some people complain about the stupidest of stuff like fashion shows and shit like that should be on PPV! I know thats nothing to do with wrestling but its the same sort of thing, it just shows how paranoid America is right now.

Looks like the problem could be getting worse soon.

Powell resigned as the head of the FCC, and the leading candidate to replace him (already a regulator so he doesn't need Senate confirmation) is suspected to be worse than Powell regarding indecency regulation.

WWE should start another Right To Censor stable.

you should watch raw in canada, everytime someone is doing a move on a woman, they start showing the crowd.

Like this past raw, instead of seing kane chokeslam trish, we saw some people in the crowd with their thumbs down, fucking ridiculous

and then on smackdown, they show kane chokeslaming trish, and censor the ruck fules hat -_-'

it is, maybe there's a 5 second delay or something, cuz in raw threads when something happens and someone posts, it's the same thing thats' happening on my tv.

or maybe they have cameramen for TSN's raw since they zoom in on the crowd

I think that's really dumb. What's so bad about it if it's a post watershed show.

We get that sort of stuff when wrestling is shown in the morning.And when they showed Smackdown on Sky one they always did that stuff, regardless whether it was morning or not.

The funny thing about that is two inches over they have a picture of the same T-shirt for sale without the blurring.

Personally, I want a T-shirt that's got the blurs on it so you can't read what it says. That way when all my friends see it, they'll recognize it as john cena's blurry shirt and they'll think it's cool.


Oh who am I kidding. We're talking about SMACKDOWN on UPN. Nobody I know even has a clue who the hell John Cena is.

Also regarding Sky One censorship, I remember a time when I think it was Gail Kim and Lita (must have been on The Bottom Line) collided heads and they showed the crowd: WTF?!

Same when a weapon is used. But actually I'm glad. Because now when someone says that its all fake I just say "Look! They censor it on TV because it's too vioent! Ruck You!"

And yeah, I would buy a blurred Ruck Fules shirt.

Wonder if they realise that blurring it makes it look more like Fuck Rules.... hmm
