Video Game Tournament
Well I never really posted in the original video game board, but I need help with something.
I'm the Vice President on my college's Computer Science Club, and we are thinking of holding a Video Game Tournament on Open College night in March. Right now, the feeling is that we should use the game Counter Strike (which I beleive is a mini game in Half Life) for the tournament, but I feel we should be open to the idea of some other games. Anyways, I've kind of been out of the video game seen since 2000. That means I don't know any of the newest and latest games out there. Therefore, I am asking everyone here if they know any good games to play that would be perfect for a Video Game Tournament (and by perfect, I mean a game that is both fun and mores at a reletivly quick pace). |
Well, I'm assuming you'll be using pc's over lan, so counter strike is a good one off the bat.
Deathmatch classic (another mod for half-life) is a bit more arcadey, plays kinda like quake, and is fast and frantic with a lot of players. And now my mind has blanked on pc multiplayer games. |

I like it, they like it.:meh: |

If you're looking for first person shooters then Counter-Strike, Red Faction (1 or 2), Unreal Tournament, Tribes 2, Halo, Call of Duty, or Battlefield 1942. Those are all great games.

Sim City :)
:shifty: what? :o |
Worms World Party. That's our favorite LAN game at school.
|
And I almost forgot Armagettron, which you can get for free on the web. The game RULES in a LAN party.
|
Halo, BF1942, Call of Duty. Either one.
