If you think Stone Cold Steve Austin was more popular than Hulk Hogan gimme a hell yeah!
Me: HELL YEAH |
Realistically, is there any way to prove it one way or the other besides personal opinion?
|
I would think it was Austin.
|
I'd say hogan.
Why? - because everyone, AND I MEAN EVERYONE (even my mother) knows Hulk Hogan. But, for example, she certainly doesn't know Steve Austin. |
Austin was popular at a time when more people were watching than ever.
Hogan popular with a larger portion of the total audience at the time. Draw your own conclusions. |
Austin
well mainly because I started watching wrestling when Austin was doing his thing |
HOGAN!
|
HOGAN. Did Austin ever have his own CARTOON? :shifty:
|
Hogan will always be the Babe Ruth of pro wrestling: the greatest of all time and ultimately "the man." Forever.
Austin is more like the Mark McGuire of pro wrestling: he garnered a lot of interest and brought about a huge following in wrestling that will probably never happen again. Much like the McGuire home-run race will probably never be as big as it was. Draw your own conclusions. I say Hogan though. |
Yeah, I'd have to go with Hogan. EVERYONE in the world knew who he was.
|
Yeah, like Aussie_Skier said, everybody has heard of Hulk Hogan. Not everyone has heard of Austin.
|
You know, gonna go LC here. Tough choice though.
|
LOL @ LC using his mod powers.
|
Austin. Sure Austin didn't get a cartoon after him but he did get a street amed after him.
anyway Austin ruled. |
