Help me choose a shitty movie

The cereal that I eat has an offer where you can send in UPC's and get a free DVD, so I figure that since I already have them I might as well get the movie. There are seven options and none look very good, right now I am leaning towards The Man in the Iron Mask, but vote away.

DaveWadding 02-01-2005 08:29 PM

is 12 Angry men the 1959 version or the newer one?

House of Pancakes 02-01-2005 08:46 PM

12 angry men from 1957 is an excellent movie.

BCWWF 02-01-2005 08:58 PM

Yeah it is the 1957 one it says

MVP 02-01-2005 09:01 PM

12 Angry Men :y:

Triple A 02-01-2005 09:12 PM

12 ANGRY MEN YOU STUPID COCK.

RoXer 02-01-2005 09:23 PM

Yeah, depends which 12 angry men it is.

RoXer 02-01-2005 09:24 PM

Yeah ok, the one from 57.

Shouldn't have voted for Honeymoon in Vegas.

Boondock Saint 02-01-2005 09:27 PM

12 Angry Men. And it isn't shitty.

BCWWF 02-01-2005 09:39 PM

I'd never heard of it, so I assumed it was some mid 90's Hulk Hogan type film

DaveWadding 02-01-2005 09:43 PM

also, what kind of cereal is this?

BCWWF 02-01-2005 09:48 PM

Kellogg's...I think the ones that have the offer are Corn Flakes, Mini Wheats, and Raisin Bran. Dunno, I'd be eating it anyway so might as well.

Mike the Metal Ed 02-01-2005 10:04 PM

I thought I was supposed to click the crappiest one on the list. :(

Must read threads next time.

If I can get 12 Angry Men on DVD for free, I'll start eating said cereal as well.

Supreme Olajuwon 02-02-2005 12:17 AM

12 Angry Men

although you'll prolly think its too slow

BCWWF 02-02-2005 12:47 AM

Last semester I was in a course called "The History of Film Pt. 1" in which we watched films from the very beginning up until the early fifties. If I could sit through "Birth of a Nation" I think I can handle this anything.

On that tangent, has anybody else ever seen Birth of a Nation? OMG it is death. We also watched Traffic in Souls, equally as deadly.

Racist pile of boring silent movie shit.

On the other hand, we followed it up with the genius that is Charlie Chaplin in City Lights. That movie single handedly made me want to seek out all that is Chaplin. Gonna get The Charlie Chaplin Collection Vol. 1 for my birthday.

I should make a topic out of that.

MrMeJW 02-02-2005 11:07 PM

12 Angry Men, it's one of my favorite films

Boondock Saint 02-02-2005 11:08 PM

Birth of a Nation is really boring, an overtly racist. However it clearly deserves its place in cinema history for its innovative film techniques.

The Answer 02-02-2005 11:48 PM

12 Angry Men is good. The Man in the Iron Mask I liked because I was always into the musketters."All for one and one for all" Plus John Malkovich had a strong acting performance in it

Buzzkill 02-02-2005 11:56 PM

Agent Cody Banks

Exactly. I just wish they didn't force us to sit through the whole thing, but rather specific parts. Have you seen the Trafffic in Souls one? I think that might be worse. It is hard to beat the painted black guys in Birth of the Nation though.

Watch Bamboozled. It's a Spike Lee movie, and it will make you hate both white people and black people at the same time.

Come on! Choose Hackers, it's fun seeing them get excited about a laptop with a 28k Modem in it.

And also how the world of hacking seems to be like a combination of the lawnmower man and the mtrix

SuperSlim 02-03-2005 07:48 AM

just get hte crappiest movie, sell it on eBay, and reep the profits.

Yeah, and not to mention that its the first ever feature length film. But the thing about the innovative film techniques, they were innovative, but I don't think Griffith did well with them at all. Perhaps its just my personal opinion.

Ogen 02-03-2005 06:40 PM

Hackers was class when I was a little kid such a rediculous movie

BCWWF 02-03-2005 07:06 PM

Was the "pan shot" developed before Birth of a Nation? I think it started in The Great Train Robbery, but I can't remember when that was.

road doggy dogg 02-04-2005 07:48 AM

Yeah like most others, I kinda liked 12 Angry Men. I dunnnnnnooo

BCWWF 02-05-2005 12:35 AM

I think thats what I'll be going with, 12 Angry Men. I had never heard of it, but its got good enough reviews to convince me.
