Why must they fuck with the classics by making a sequel which isn't even in the same genre?

Actually, Dirge of Cerberus appears to be action oriented, which is why the reporting groups say it is, but one of square enix's reps said a couple months ago that the genre for it will be unique, and none of the press knows what it will be yet. Also I dont see how it will come out in the states in May, when it isn't anywhere near Japanese release last I checked. Advent Children being released then is very possible, and I hope so at least.

Also, there is another sequel to FF7 (forget the name) that will be on the PSP, and there is a prequel called Before Crisis that is on certain cellular phones.

I'm worried that they'll screw it up. They haven't made a good FFgame since FFIX.

No I've seen the screen shots and the wallpapers for both. Game is going to be good. Plus 12 is not coming out until 4th quarter of 2005

The only problem I have with the new FF7 game is that its different. Its more run and gun then RPG like. It worries me a little. Im still waiting on the Final Fantasy 7 Remake that was in the works.

I cant wait for Advent Children. Has anyone heard any word on how long the movie will run. I have it in my head that its gonna run about an hour or so.

Final Fantasy fans worldwide are literally begging Square to do this but they continually ignore them.

And the last good FF game in my opinion was Final Fantasy 9. FFX and FFX-2 were just shit.

I remember when the word first appeared about the FF7 Remake they said that it would be put with Advent Children and sold in a two disc set. Damn Square for making lies. All the fans really want is a true sequel to the game and a true remake. Why cant they do that. They want money dont they?

The new trailer for Advent Children is Jaw dropping. and as for all the games they are making, I think it's ok cuz i don't see Square making a FF game as good as 7 ever again.

I for one like FF8. The RPG/WB Drama mix somehow hooked me. And I liked how the end of each CD was a Season Finale of sorts. I really respected it as a TV show, taking all the events as episodes. I miss FF8. FF9 was cute in a disney way, but dragged on a bit. 46 minutes into FF10 I stopped, the voice over made me sick.

There are 3 games coming out within the FF7 realm.

FF7: Before Crisis where you control the Turks.

FF7: Dirge of Cerebrus. Duh.

FF7: After Crisis Core something which follows the story of Zack. Aeris boyfriend that never returned... Sephiroth killed... not sure if Sephiroth gave him a mortal wound in ff7 but I am sure he did.

Dirge of Cerebrus takes place around the same time as Advent Children does so I am hoping this will boast an actual FF7 sequel.

Also, remember the ff7 demo at E3. THey said they did it on a Ps3 kit but the graphics look just like the movie so I think they are lying. I really wish they would remake ff7. That game is god.

^ if they ever made a remake of FF7, i would buy the PS3 for that alone.
