Just saw it on smackdown.Flair and HHH riding on a donkey at they end

Gouda 02-03-2005 11:09 PM

Basically HHH is riding a horse giving a big long speech about how he will not lose his title. Then he's like "who's with me?!!" and it pans out to show he's talking to nobody.

But then you here "whoo" and Ric comes on, pulling a donkey. He's also dressed like some sort of servant or slave or whatever. He kisses HHH's ass. The horse throws HHH off.

Pretty bad and unfunny commercial. I'm not too fond of seeing Flair in rags acting as a servant boy either.

Eugene one is way better.

James Steele 02-03-2005 11:43 PM

Nope, this is the better commercial. Especially since it kind of caters to the intnernet.

Plus Gouda, Ric has been a "servant boy" for a couple of years now buddy. :nono:

Shadow 02-03-2005 11:45 PM

Saw both tonight finnally....ye gods did Ric save that. Again.

I know... but there's a difference from being in an expensive suit and actually looking like a servant/slave and holding a donkey.

freerock1.com 02-04-2005 01:18 AM

I thought the promo was funny, but I'm not real crazy about what they're doing with the storyline. Even though we know that in all likelihood it will be HHH vs Batista at WM21, it seems they could put a little more suspense in the "Will Batista stay or go" angle if they held off on that kind of promo until Batista has announced his "decision." (Similarly, the fact that Smackdown is having a #1 contender's tournament while Raw seems to be making no provision for a #1 contender spot if Batista jumps ship seems to kind of give away the outcome. Of course they could be preparing for a Batista jump that according to the story will lead to a Cena/Batista feud on Smackdown and complete disarray on Raw in determining who will face HHH, but I doubt it.)

Corkscrewed 02-04-2005 01:47 AM

This was definitely more hilarious than Eugene and Regal, which was chuckly itself. But to have HHH Flair poking fun of himself and HHH pandering to the internet indirectly was just classic. "How long is this road to Wrestlemania anyway?" "Not that long. Just around the corner."

 Just awesome stuff. Flair totally made that commercial.

DaveWadding 02-04-2005 01:54 AM

http://s15.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1...Y31N312UMODB46 teh commercial.

RGWhat316 02-04-2005 05:34 PM

I actually loved it. It was kind of predictable since noone likes HHH in the WWE. And Flair made that commercial as well. It was even funny to see Trips fall off the horse. I'm glad they are doing a series of commercials like they did with SummerSlam. And so far, the first two seem to be anti-HHH. The first one had Eugene mention that HHH tapped out last year, and this one makes HHH look like a jackass.

PorkSoda 02-04-2005 05:51 PM

I thought it was funny when Flair went up to the donkey and said "Woooo! Wooo! WooWooWooWooWoo" and then Triple H fell off the horse

SuperSlim 02-04-2005 07:12 PM

that was a funny commercial. I liked it.

Good stuff..

No doubt these are all going to be extras on the DVD anyway.

Bo 02-04-2005 07:26 PM

When he turned and went "Wooooooo" to the donkey, I about busted a gut laughing.

The CyNick 02-04-2005 11:02 PM

Yeah both commercials are really funny. Its very effective, because I cant wait to see the next ones. Not sure if it will get the average fan excited about wrestling, but it worked for me.

Let the speculation begin about what movie will be next and who will be in it.

I-Hate-You 02-04-2005 11:27 PM

I have still yet to see the Eugene one.

Bo 02-05-2005 09:48 AM

Why do I have a feeling there will be a 8 mile parody with John Cena and Booker T.

No hopefully they are doing parodies of GOOD movies...not that 8 Mile wasnt good it just wasnt Braveheart or Forrest Gump good.

But sadly I see it happeneing.

the_rock's_#1_fan 02-05-2005 02:22 PM

Gouda I couldn't agree more with you that the Eugene/Regal WM21 commercial is way more funny than lame-o's #1 and 2 (hey trips you are what you ride   :D )...anyway, I-Hate-You, the Eugene commercial goes something like this:

***ˇˇˇPOSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!!!***ˇˇˇPOSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!!!***
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The following may contain transcripts unseen by some WWE viewers. Those who don't think poking fun @ Forrest Gump is cool, and those who would rather see the commercial on TV, discretion is advised. Otherwise, continue now...
---------------------------------------------------------------------

(Scene starts w/Eugene getting off the bus. He sits down at the park bench, where a woman is reading RAW magazine.)

Eugene: Hello, my name's Eugene. You want a chocolate?

(The woman politely refuses, and continues reading.)

Eugene: I could eat about a million and a half of these! My momma always said life was like a box of chocolates--you never know what you're gonna get. But I always thought life was more like WrestleMania; like at WrestleMania III, when Hogan picked up André, an-and he bodyslammed him, or-or, last year's WrestleMania, when Chris Benoit made Triple H tap out, or at WrestleMania XIV, (I forget this part but it's something about someone getting knocked out, and Eugene inadvertently punches out the woman.) Uh-Oh! Oh, No! (Eugene leaves quickly...meanwhile William Regal checks up on the woman who is still out cold.)

Regal: RUN... EUGENE, RUN!

***END***

The commercial is quite a bit shorter than how I described it but it pretty much sums it up nicely in text.

So. On Smackdown they debuted another commercial.

Stacy Kiebler/Bentoit/Jericho/Christian in a parody of some movie I can't remember the name of. That one where they have that girl in an interrogation room and she crosses her legs and stuff.

Not really funny. Only part that's even remotely funny is Christian with his "How about sado-masochistic?"

Oh yeah. Then in the end Moolah and Mae Young come in and everybody hurls.

Yeah. Pretty unfunny.

Blue Demon 02-11-2005 04:33 PM

^^I kinda liked that one

Azriel 02-11-2005 04:43 PM

I wonder when the Smackdown stars will do one? You know JBL will do one. maybe a spoof on Wall Street doing Gorden Gecko's speech.

Basic Instinct

Corkscrewed 02-11-2005 04:59 PM

^ beat me to it!

It was Basic Instinct.. the infamous Sharon Stone interrogation scene where (in the real movie) she's not wearing any underwear, then uncrosses her legs. I thought it was kinda funny... Christian totally made the ad, and the end had my and my non-wrestling-fan pals laughing like hell.

M. Banana 02-12-2005 09:48 AM

I've liked all the commercials so far.. my favorite being "Basic Instinct".

"Any more questions..?"
"...No.."
"...I'm good..."
"....I love you."

My favorite is Braveheart, maybe it's because I'm Scottish and I think it's funny when somebody trys to do a Scottish accent, anyway the things I find funny are:

Triple H trying a Scottish Accent
Triple H talking to no one
Triple H falling off his horse
Ric Flair and the donkey
Triple H riding a donkey

BatistaBomb 02-12-2005 12:20 PM

it is hilarious but the irony is at the end you have an ass riding an ass

did anybody catch the one with stacy, benoit, jericho & christian
poor christian about passed out lol
