Batista's decision does strong overrun rating
Credit: PWTorch.com
Raw drew a 4.0 rating, perhaps slightly disappointing given all the hype for Batista's big announcement since it was just 0.1 higher than last week. On the bright side, the overrun with Batista popped a 5.0 rating, a full rating point above the 4.0 the previous full quarter hour drew. The tag match with Shawn Michaels & Randy Orton vs. Edge & Christian drew strong 4.1 and 4.2 quarter hour ratings when it was on, above any other segment on the show. ------------- :y: |
Wait...So if you give the fans what they want...The ratings go UP?

Holy shit, lol. That's almost Attitude Era quality.

I remember once when Raw got like a 7.1 rating..or something like that. Talk about insane.

Everyone was just tuning in at that time to seeThe Ultimate Fighter. :shifty:

Could be right Gouda. I actually thought that.
It was over-run time. They were watching thinking "This'll finish in a minute." |

Kane Knight is comedy gold
But this is pretty cool. Too bad they won't get another rating like that for another two years. |

I don't know about you, but I care less about the show and more about two guys beating the Hell out of each other. As such, I don't really care if I miss the first few minutes (Review, touchy feely shit that appeals to women and closet fags). It's perfectly possible that the ratings spiked (No pun intended) because of Ultimate fighter (On top of the raw fanbase) fans tuning in, but that would really mandate a level of popularity I don't think it has, especially since so many UF viewers are also WWE fans and likely watch Raw. OTOH, if anyone has the actual ratings for Ultimate Fighter that night... |
This week's edition of Raw did a 4.0 cable rating, with a 5.9 share. The show did hours of 3.8 and 4.2.
The Ultimate Fighter that followed it did a 2.0 cable rating, with a 4.4 share, for the Chris vs. Josh fight. UFC has to be ecstatic with that number as its the best they have done yet. ---- i dont know i dont think they tuned in for Ultimate Fighter... :-\ source: backstagewrestling.com |
but this is still the funniest thing i've heard on the site...
The 10 minute overrun from Raw this week did a 5.0, which is the best quarter that WWE has done in some time. That means that fans tuned in to see the big Batista turn and it drew a monster rating, up nearly a full point. If you give the fans an interesting storyline, they'll watch. If not, ratings will sink back to the low 3's. |
