Blvd of broken dreams is, like, exactly what a pop song should be.
 

Can't get it out of my head. It's not Green Day's most inspired song musically (It sounds like Metallica's unforgiven and Nippleback's How you remind me fucked and created a bastard chordset), And it's not exactly the most brilliant writing. However, the tune's catchy and the lyrics/rhyme scheme are complex enough to keep it from being just another song.

I gotta agree with you here. I like Green Day, but too many of their songs sound the same. When I first heard "American Idiot", it sounded like the old green day guitar chords. But then I heard Boulevard of Broken Dreams, and I loved it, then bought the CD. Even though it might be played a little too much, it is a good song.

I really really love the song, its too bad it gets overplayed. I have loved it since before the album came out.

I dunno, but the song, kinda reminds me of Oasis - Wonderwall

Also, Silent that's a pretty decent song there, I used to have the album, too bad I didn't really like too many others on that alubim

Deadsy fucking sucks. They can take their music and stick it up their ass. That band tries way to hard to be like Orgy.

I think it's a boring and rather plodding song. The whole album is a bit tedious, really.

However, Oh My God by the Kaiser Chiefs is stuck in my head and probably fits the same concept for me.

God damn it. I'm not a big Green Day fan, but once and a while they come out witha song that I really like. Coincidently, everytime they come out with a song that I like, they overplay it to the point where I change the station when it comes on.

i dont listen to the radio nor do I watch the music channel because i know what they play. I play the song at my will so i can't say it's overplayed :p. It's so fuckin catchy it's annoying.

I love the ablbum and that song is a favourite. I just really like playing it on the guitar. Letterbomb kicks ass as well. The whole album's great.

I like 7 and 11 on that CD.

It really is a good CD.
Still sounds like Green Day as well, and that's what I like.
