emo music?
Sorry for not being in the know, but what exactly is the definition of emo music? I've heard the term thrown around the forums lately?
|
It appears to be a maudlin type of guitar pop music that is doing the rounds, typically sporting a vocalist with a plaintive, whiney, high-pitched style of singing that may lapse into screaming.
I don't know, really. I prefer the New-Wavey type of guitar pop doing the rounds as opposed to the maudlin stuff as my musical trend of choice. |

Now I know. And knowing is half the battle. YOOOOOOO JOE!

come on youre 14... dont you know any stupid girls with "yellowcard" and "taking back sunday" quotes in their AIM profiles it is all emo. its pretty much singing about how your girlfriend left you and playing like two chords.

Assman talking down to him because of his age, ironic.
Anyone remember when Assman posted on here bout how he thought Alexisonfire were ok and then a week later he really hated them. |
I hate Alexisonfire.

*Kills Mitch*

But I love you. :(

No clearly AssMan is correct, with his seniority in life he knows all about every kind of music out there, his statement couldn't be closer to the truth. I've personally never seen such blinding truth be poured into one amazing post before.

Well he is 12

Emo isn't whiny pop punk if thats what your thinking.
Its just thats what everyone calls emo these days. That, and anything thats remotely emotional. Im kinda getting tired of all of these "sub genres" of emo. According to some people, hardcore emo and emocore are completely different. |
