Best Damn Sports Show Period Cancelled?
 

Heard that it got cancelled. I know they trimmed the show down to Tom Arnord and John Sally, but i heard it just got cancelled. Never watched it though.

I watch it. I must be the only one....Anyway I saw this coming after they trimmed it back.

I was never a huge fan of the show, but it had some good segments sometimes. I didn't like that they turned it into a guy sitting behind desk show. I just don't think it offered enough, it was pretty much an alright talk show going against SportsCenter.

Fox Sports is still very far behind ESPN, they have absolutely nothing to rival SportsCenter. They need to come up with a good highlights show to go against the nighttime SC and then they need to show more national games when their regional teams aren't playing. They always have the stupidest shit on, all the channel is good for is watching your team play a game once or twice a week.

The show was entertaining when it first came out and they had a good cast of panelists, but like people said, it offers nothing against ESPN. Especially now with the trimmed down cast.

Fox Sports used to have it's Fox Sports Report, and it was decent, although the anchors were fucking retarded and annoying. They need to resurrect some form of that. I don't even consider it a true sports station anymore. The only time I watch it is when the Warriors games are on, or in a couple weeks, when Giants games are on. Otherwise, it's pointless. Too much filler and infomercials.

And filler is bad when it's filling 22 hours of the day.

I prefer ATH to PTI, I like how it has more people involved, and having PTI right after it they always cover the same issues, its too repetitive. Jim Rome is Burning at least covers a different spectrum. They should put PTI on at a different time, like at night or something.

I like em back to back. That way I get my Woodrow Wilson Paige fix and my Michael Wilbon fix back2back

I love listening ot the Jim Rome show on the radio.....had to say that for those who hated him....

As for Best Damn Sports Show....

I know that I saw it the other night and Tom Arnold was on it saying that he wasnt gone yet...I dont know if that was meaning it was canceled and they were just finishing the time or what....I never watched the show except for when it was the TNA/Sports show thing.

I watched it from time-to-time, but I'd still choose SportsCenter... hell I'd pick Dream Job over BDSSP.


But PTI and ATH (individually) > SC and BDSSP (combined)

What? It is obviously ripping off ATH since Max Kellerman was the original host of the show.

Best Damn just isn't interesting enough, they don't have the key features or big enough guests nightly.

ESPN has gone so crazy with this analysys/banter/opinion stuff, 3:00-5:00 - Cold Pizzas First and 10, Jim Rome is Burning, Around the Horn, Pardon the Interuption.

Cold Pizza is refreshing, really its very similar to PTI, but the way they run it makes it very different. I just don't like when PTI comes on and all the topics were already debated in ATH so there aren't any new developments or anything.

Is anybody getting ESPNU? I think its kind of stupid that my college isn't picking it up, since its a college network, but then again there are already two or three college sports networks out there that would probably be just as valuble.

Jim Rome is horrendous. the only thing i like about his radio show are the e-mails he gets

I like Jim Rome, I haven't listened to him in years, but would listen to him daily in the '90's.

I listen to him cause he's the only thing on. I really hate when he acts like he's best friend with every person who comes on. Plus, the "Jungle Karma" is so stupid. Ask Joey Harrington what he thinks of "Jungle Karma".

Jim Rome sucks the balls of his guests and then slaps them when they aren't there, but I find his voice fun to listen to.

Jay Mariotti is the worst of all the guys on ATH. I remember during Michael Smiths first days he was a total pushover, but now I think he is really good. Did he leave his job in Boston and take one with ESPN now? He was a correspondent on Sports Center the other night, I'd never seen that before. I also like JA Adande. Plaschke is alright, the Armstrong guy who looks like Woody is funny, purely because he looks like Woody, and Cowlishaw is alright too.

The one analyst that I always agree with though is Charles Barkley. For some reason he always reflects my opinions exactly. Go figure?

that would be Jim "chris" Everret. As much as I hate Rome, Skip Bayliss is even worse. He hosted Rome's show for him.

Tom Arnold is qutting so they are cancelling. Not got for TNA or UFC.
