Can anyone give me a site that will tell me the number of records a musician sold?
 

I always hear how somebody has gone platinum, gold, whatever. I need to find out some information on record sales. Anyone?

Can sometimes get info if you contact the band or it's record label. If not them then you will have to contact who monitors sales in your country. In the UK it is the BPI )British Phonographic something or other).

Billboard might be of some help as well.
