What will be the main event at Wrestlemania?
I think it might be the JBL/Cena match since RAW had the main event last year, but with HHH's clout, one never knows.
|
Most likely HHH/Batista.
Batista won the Rumble, but more importantly it's RAW's main event, and HHH is in it. |
Batista vs HHH without a shadow of doubt.
|
Orton/Undertaker.

The winner of the Royal Rumble is always in the real main event spot. Plus, Triple H would be pissed if he wasn't in the main event now... I'm sure he was pretty pissed off at WrestleMania XIX.
|
Well the winner of the rumble gets the main event has been since the begining of time, except that Year Austin won and somehow the Main event was Taker/Sid, but we don't talk about that year
|
Plus, Batista/HHH is the better built-up match. The better built-up story. So I don't mind it. Plus, JBL WILL NOT FUCKING MAIN EVENT WRESTLEMANIA. I like him now, but he still should not be in the true Main Event of WrestleMania. |
Trish v. Christy
No, but remember when the women's title match was WAY high up the card at XIX? You think they'll do that again? |

I'm pretty sure the main event will be Batista/HHH...Batista won the rumble, its the better feud, and its been the main focus of RAW for many months now.
|
Batista/HHH
Because the winner of the rumble gets THE MAIN EVENT spot at Wrestlemania End of discussion |
Yeah they've been pretty consistant with that. Even at Manias 18-20 where the respective title matches were not the biggest match on the show, they still went on last.
However, they will call like 5 or 6 matches "the main event". |
I would say that the Orton-Taker match would be in the last say 3 only if they book Orton to win, make it a big deal, Kurt-HBK will I say be 3rd to last, they might put the Pipers Pit thing towards the end as well, but the only match I see that could go at end is the HHH-Batista Match due to it being the "bigger title" match this year, and the fued as been built up alot better then Cena-JBL

I'm hoping against hope that Cena-JBL is the main event so that there is no asterisk going with my genius prediction from one year ago

or Taker/Orton will be a little lower on the card and HBK/Angle will be in that spot. It makes sense to have a lower profile match higher up so that the mid card high profile matches don't totally steal all the heat from the high card high profile matches. |
Yeah. Pacing-wise, you can't just order the card from low profile to high profile. You gotta get a good start and spread out the crap so there aren't long periods of stuff no one really cares about.

I see the Raw Title being in the main event just because Raw is the bigger show so of course it should be treated as the main event. And of course the fact that Trips is in it is surely the reason it will be there.....oh yea and because the Rumble winner is in it also. |
it may not be the 2 title matches at the end keep in kind. Last year the order was Angle - Eddie, Taker - Kane, then the triple threat

ie. At Wrestlemania 19, the hottest feud at the time was for the WWE Championship, and the Brock vs. Kurt feud was the most anticipated. For example, next year, let's say they plan on doing Orton vs. Cena at Wrestlemania 22. Cena is the WWE Champ going into Wrestlemania, and they have Orton as the guy tagged to win the rumble. If the WWE Title is on SD! then Wrestlemania will be a SD! main event. |

But more to the point...there isn't a question in my mind that Batista vs. HHH will be the Main Event. |
You know, both of the last two years they've said that the winner of the Rumble gets the main event slot.

Aren't there like three main events each Wrestle Mania?

Piper's Pit

WrestleMania XX the women's title match tween Vicky and Molly was high up the card as well.
This year I don't think it is since Christy probably won't be that good in the ring. But Batista/HHH will be the main headliner of the show. |
