Ozzfest 2005 Lineup Almost Complete
It didnt look like this was already posted yet so I figured I would put this up...
Main Stage: Black Sabbath Iron Maiden ???????? (Still to be named) Shadows Fall Black Label Society 2nd Stage Rob Zombie Killswitch Engage As I Lay Dying Mastadon A Dozen Furies The Haunted In Flames Arch Enemy The Black Dahlia Murder Bury Your Dead It Dies Today Soilwork Trivium I actually plan on going this year...it would be my first ozzfest. |
Iron Maiden aren't doing the final 7 dates because of commitments in Europe.
|
Wow. A large number of those bands look like they're not nu-metal.
What happened? |

Nu metal isn't in the "in" alternative music trend now, that's why. Metal's "cool" again.
It's a strange day when I'd rate every band on the Ozzfest bill as decent or better... |
Isnt the band not mentioned Anthrax?
|
Probably will be, the whole point of this old line-up thing was meant to be Ozzfest.
Although I'll be rather annoyed if it lasts beyond Ozzfest, I much prefer John Bush to Joey Belladonna. |
Among The Living > Anything with John Bush
|
And? It's not like he was entirely responsible for the crap albums they churned out during the mid to late 90s...
|
Dammit. The music I enjoy is the latest trend. Must go listen to Korn now. They're not cool anymore.
Bands I would see live: Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Anthrax, Shadows Fall, Black Label Society, Mastodon, The Haunted, Arch Enemy, Soilwork. |

Oh boy, as i lay crying. The lineup is really solid though.
|
Does Ozzy still perform?
Hopefully thats not a stupid question, but seeing him on his stupid MTV show I have to wonder how he would be able to sing and stuff. |
Trivium and the Black Dahlia Murder

Btw, this is the list for Tuska this year. Except they're going to add one band more, probably some Finnish.
Friday 15.7. Monster Magnet (USA) Apocalyptica Finntroll Teräsbetoni Scarve (FRA) Primal Fear (GER) Destruction (GER) Callisto Wintersun Saturday 16.7. Dimmu Borgir (NOR) Testament (USA) Gamma Ray (GER) Deathchain Thunderstone Amoral Rotten Sound Lake Of Tears (SWE) Ajattara Pain Confessor Sinking Naglfar (SWE) Sunday 17.7. Accept (GER) Sentenced Children Of Bodom Evergrey (SWE) Viikate Bal-Sagoth (UK) Stam1na Turmion Kätilöt Hieronymus Bosch (RUS) Last year I decided I'm gonna go there this summer, but the list doesn't look too good... Only Apocalyptica, Finntroll, Dimmu Borgir, Ajattara, COB, Bal-Sagoth and Turmion Kätilöt interest me... The 3 day ticket costs 67€ so it's not exactly cheap either... Other that interests me is Sauna Open Air Metal Festival. These are the bands performing there. Slayer, Dio, Megadeth, Mastodon, Sentenced, Sonata Arctica, Mokoma, Teräsbetoni, Kotipelto, Dreamtale, Amoral, Moonsorrow, Roctum, Norther. 3 day ticket costs 69€ so that's not cheap either. The 3rd choise I have is Provinssi Rock that has at least Nightwish, Marilyn Manson, Mew, Nine Inch Nails, Slipknot, Moneybrother, Turbonegro, the Donnas and Gore Gore Girls + lots of finnish bands. This is most expensive as tickets costs 77€ which is very heavy on the wallet. I dunno what I should do... :( |
Trivum and In Flames are tha shit.
