True TPWW Sports Areas

When there was a specific Detroit Tigers thread posted last week, it was clear that there was a problem in the Sports Forum. You see, it is a privlidge to be able to make a thread for a specific team, and neither Splaya nor the Detroit Tigers have reached that level.

Certified Cities/States:

Boston:
Stima34
VEL
Yashimaga
Gertner
Among others

New York:
Loose Cannon
Triple A
ct2k
AssMan
(well I could list about 20, so I wont continue)

Minnesota:
The People's Poster
Alphabean
Y2Ant (Vikings)
Morcheeba
Moonax (Apparently?)
Minnesota Heat :shifty:

Cincinnatti/Ohio Areas:
Supreme
Anybody Thrilla
CoE right?

Alabama:
The Outlaw
Bo

Phoenix:
DaveWadding
Joey Roxer

I will even say Seattle even though The Miz is the only one.

You see, these places are all established on TPWW. It has taken years of optimism and bias to get them to where they are, and they will stay there for a long time to come. You can't come in here the first day and make a thread about the Brewers, its just not right. Maybe someday you will have talked your city up enough to make threads about it, but until then, well I don't care just don't fuck with the Twins

Lotus 03-20-2005 04:11 AM

Lotus represents the Bay

Supreme Olajuwon 03-20-2005 04:29 AM

To be honest, that Tigers thread was as interesting as any Minnesota thread ever made.

The Icon of Elisim 03-20-2005 04:39 AM

Supreme is right.

You realise that these team specific threads just turn into general discussion and such.

RoXer 03-20-2005 10:50 AM

Also, I might make an Oaland A's thread later this year.

MVP 03-20-2005 11:04 AM

You forgot to add me under Boston.

Evil Vito 03-20-2005 11:10 AM

I'm from CT, so I really have no professional teams to root for, so I go with the NY teams (Mets/Giants/Knicks/Islanders)

Rain Man 03-20-2005 01:35 PM

Philadelphia, PA right here

YOUR Hero 03-20-2005 01:47 PM

I think someone is getting too big for their britches.

Gertner 03-20-2005 01:47 PM

lol i'm not from boston. i'm from Toronto. I've just been a pats fan since i was 8

DaveBrawl 03-21-2005 12:44 PM

Go Rockies!!!

Splaya 03-21-2005 12:56 PM

Let's see, when's the last time Minnesota has put out a decent basketball team. Or a decent hockey team. Same for NY. Therefore, by your own process BCWWF, The Tigers may not be ready for the "A" list that you have proposed. But the Red Wings and the Pistons are way better than any of the teams in their respective sport that you have mentioned.

Last year?

Splaya 03-21-2005 01:06 PM

And even though it is only pre season, the Tigers have a better record than the Yankees, Twins, Indians, A's and Boston. So, without further ado, check your stats before you run your mouth and shut the hell up.

The Miz 03-21-2005 01:21 PM

You asked when the last time Minnesota put out a decent basketball team. The answer: last year.

Splaya 03-21-2005 01:26 PM

Ok, but the way BCWWF proposed this thread is of the last few years. One year does not cut it

What the fuck are you talking about? The Timberwolves were in the Western Finals last year and would have beaten the Lakers if Sam Cassell or Troy Hudson weren't both injured and the Gophers were fourth in the Big 10 and made the NCAA Tournament.

The Wild made the Western Finals in their third year as a team (2003) and the Gophers were national champions in 2002 and 2003 not to mention the Gophers women national champions about every year.

Not only that, my list wasn't a list of cities that have good teams, it was a list of cities that are well represented at TPWW and are talked about a lot. Detroit is talked about by Bad Guy and now apparantly you. Not only that, this was more of a joke then anything else, but apparently you completely missed what I was saying.

BTW, the NHL season was cancelled :p

John la Rock 03-21-2005 06:50 PM

TPWW's biggest Blue Jays mark right here

Gertner 03-24-2005 02:25 PM

La Rock, I will challenge you on that!

Chacin for rookie of the year btw

BCWWF 03-24-2005 02:35 PM

Don't try to bring Toronto into this

Gertner 03-26-2005 03:58 PM

BCWWF 03-26-2005 06:22 PM

Gertner 03-26-2005 06:31 PM

BCWWF 03-26-2005 06:49 PM

Gertner 03-27-2005 12:25 PM

weather vane 03-27-2005 05:02 PM

Put me under Boston. My life.

Apprentice 03-29-2005 04:08 AM

It is a travesty no Los Angeles people are on this board. I will support my city till I die.

PureHatred 03-29-2005 04:38 AM

I represent L.A. There's just not a whole lot to talk about these days. Lakers? :nono: Dodgers? :nono:

And for me personally (since I'm Mexican, and its in the bylaws that a Mexican in L.A. likes either the 'Boys or the Raiders)...the Cowboys? :nono:

I might get behind the Angels this year because of the name change, but we'll see....

Nervous Ferret 03-29-2005 03:17 PM

Ya New York over herrrrr

Kris P Lettus 03-29-2005 04:32 PM

Corndad 03-31-2005 03:31 PM

BCWWF 03-31-2005 04:20 PM

Nervous Ferret 03-31-2005 04:36 PM

Champion of Europa 04-01-2005 04:39 PM
