U2: Sometimes you Can't Make it On Your Own
YES, This song is the goods. Finally a new U2 song that doesn't make me want to slit my throat. After Vertigo, I thought I was never going to hear a song like this from them again.
Who also likes listening to this music from heaven? |
Every U2 song is a gift from the Gods.

lol Wadding. I knew you were going to be the first one to respond.
I was going to post "I bet Wadding is listening to this right now," but went to get a drink of water instead. Missed Oppurtunity |
Actually the last U2 song I listened to was City of Blinding Lights about half an hour ago. If you'd said Sascha, you'd probably have been right.

Even a medicore song from U2 is better than 99% of the shit that we hear on the radio today.
Great song, but I don't understand the diss of Vertigo? I know they played the shit out of it on the radio, but it reminded me of U2 of old which I personally enjoyed. |
Bono has cemented his place as a twat with that 1,2,3,14 bollocks
|
It's not that bad, I love Edge's guitar work in the song.
The song is definitely not worse than Discotheque and its god awful video. |
U2 generally blow... it's a well known fact, so it is.
|
I hate this song sorry. Modern day U2 are shit beyond belief.
|
I tihnk this song is awsome. U2 is definately a good band, with exceptions probablt being Pop and Zooropa. Vertigo is definately not their best song, but it's not all that bad either.

I heard the demo version of Vertigo on Irish radio tonight, when it was stripped down, called Native Son and had different lyrics. It was alot better.
Just saying. |

I definitely like this song. And I definitely like the intro to the music video with Bono talking about his father. Puts alot of meaning into the song.

Pop is pretty brutal, though I do enjoy "wake up dead man" and "staring at the sun". |
