What's Your Favorite Style of Wrestling?
Is it:
Japanese Strong Style Eastern Style(Japanese style pioneered in Michinoku Pro, Strong Style+Lucha) Lucha Libre(High Flying, Chain Wrestling, Complex Submissions) British Style Shoot Wrestling American Style(High Impact, non-traditional moves) "Spot-Fest" Amatuer Style(ex. Bob Backlund) American Strong Style Or something I haven't mentioned Also, what type of matches do you like? The ROH style of pure wrestling, the ECW style of anything goes, gimmick matches, or anything else in between. |
I like a mixture. One day I could be into hardcore spot fests, and the next I could be into amateur style.
Japanese strong style is my fav.
Gimmick matches were brilliant
I wouldnt call ROH totally pure wrestling. A lot of their matches centers around 200 pound guys doing lots of fancy ballet as Bret once said.
I'll take the Technical catch as catch can style. Think Owen Hart style..able to mat wrestle and doing all the technical stuff he's capable of, mixed with a bit of the high spots he was capable of pulling off. |
I used RoH as an example of the opposite side of the spectrum from ECW's anything goes rules.
It's got to be a mix of everything to make a solid card, IMO.
A mix of everything exacerbates the drama of the card.
Im a fan of the high flying matches as well as the regular pure wrestling style matches...I guess I like all types of matches.
I like any style of wrestling where Submission plays a big part in it. Ive been a big submission person for the longest time. |
I prefer the style of matches found in ROH and ECW(the technical bouts not the hardcore stuff). I do like hardcore wrestling but it has always has played second fiddle to me.
technical, like Benoit and Eddie.
I prefer most styles, but ring psychology and selling is a must. When the spotakeers (as Raven calls them) start jumping over the ring, they stop selling. If someone has been working your leg the entire match, you can't just start jumping all over the place and pretend everything is ok. Even stopping for one second, shaking out your leg and acknowledging the pain is enough. |
Whatever you consider Shawn Michaels.
shut the fuck up, RUIEN
I don't have a favorite, I only really hate Anything Goes Wrestling.

Whow Nervous.... Wtf?
I'M PYSCIC

***PSYCHIC
Anyway, I prefer two oiled up hosses grappling each other in as poor a style as possible. As long as they're big, and I get my erection, who cares if they actually WRESTLE?

***HOMOEROTIC

So basically, you liked Goldberg and Lesnar last year?

What we really need is Chris Masters versus LEsnar in a babyoil match. :shifty: |
No, I'm not Vince McMahon...:shifty:
How about mud?
My favorite style is the "CHRIS FUCKING JERICHO" style.
TESTIFY!
Mud?
What kind of sick fuck would like mud?
Really like Lucharesu, probably why I like Dragons Gate so much. However I am also a fan of all styles and types of matches.

I love every style of wrestling. Hardcore, technical, high-flying, you name it, I'm an appreciatator of all wrestling styles. Except backyard wrestling, with 15 year old kids doing 450 splashes onto barbed-wire, covered in glass, flaming tables. That shit pisses me off.
any one who can tell a good story in the ring
My favorite is standing like a tree in the middle of the ring, botching moves as simple as a clothesline and breaking your opponents' noses. :shifty:
highflying spot fest......also known as a jeff hardy match.

I agree but however do enjoy the backyard wrestling league. With Sabu and ICP..and deffinatly the masked horndog that guy cracks me up |

:shifty: What? |
I can appreciate most styles. Guys like London and Styles are great. I don't think you can get any better than guys like Benoit against Angle in a technical masterclass. A good hardcore match like Raven vs Rhyno is something that I can get with. I just can't stand the style of guys like Sabu.

Does Hardcore count?
