Hall of Fame Ceremony

What time does it start tonight? And are they going to show everyone, or just Hogan?

Xero 04-02-2005 01:35 PM

It starts at 11, when Velocity usually is shown. I would imagine that it's either just Hogan or the last few.

John la Rock 04-02-2005 01:39 PM

ya I'd say it's Piper than Hogan

James Steele 04-02-2005 02:06 PM

That sucks, I want to see the whole damn induction ceremony. Even though I never thought I'd see Hulk Hogan join the "Vince McMahon Kiss My Ass Club".

Team Sheep 04-02-2005 02:26 PM

Anyone know if it's on in the UK?

Loose Cannon 04-02-2005 04:20 PM

JUST HOGAN

Said this like a week ago.

Disturbed316 04-02-2005 04:45 PM

As much as I loved Hogan, it's pretty pointless if it's just him. The 2004 ceremony was actually really good. Lots of jokes and funny stuff consider it was ment to be a "serious" thing. Oh, and everyone had their time to say something.

Shaggy 04-02-2005 05:06 PM

Well then I guess there is no Velocity this week...damn. I actually wanted to see it this week. Wont be home for the Hall of Fame thing but taping it will work.

James Steele 04-02-2005 05:08 PM

I hope Roddy Piper decides to kick Hogan's ass right then and there. Then kicks Stallone in the nuts and yell "That's for Rocky V"

6to1 04-02-2005 05:17 PM

if it is an hour they might show the highlights of the others.

redoneja 04-02-2005 06:46 PM

only showing Hogan= kicking Volkoff, Iron Shiek, Piper, Orndorff, Orton, Jimmy Hart n the nuts and saying "Thanks for everything but we just don't care"

Corkscrewed 04-02-2005 11:50 PM

Geez, this is gonna go on until the hour hits. And he won't make his speech.

Corkscrewed 04-02-2005 11:51 PM

Did you see his daughter try to sit down prematurely, then go something like 'Oh wait, not yet?'

And shit.. now "Thank You Hogan" chants.

The Answer 04-02-2005 11:51 PM

Thank you Hogan you made this buisness :y: :y:

6to1 04-02-2005 11:51 PM

they all respect him, which means vince will give him another run.

I-Hate-You 04-02-2005 11:51 PM

Triple H (thinking while clapping): I hate you forever because I can't draw worth a shit.

Corkscrewed 04-02-2005 11:53 PM

Meltzer reports that Hulk Hogan will get another four year run, eclipsing JBL's recent run and Diesel's run, due to his popular reception at the Hall of Fame Ceremony. Vince was reported to have been very pleased with the "One more match" chants and will schedule that at Backlash, then spend 48 months hyping his title defense.

LOL and that would still draw more than anyone in WWE currently

Bo 04-02-2005 11:54 PM

This is great tv they need to do this every year.

Gouda 04-03-2005 12:04 AM

Damn. I wanted to see The Sheik's speech.

Piper was one hilarious guy.

Cena looked like a moron.

Ric Flair was sweating mighty heavily sitting there and laughing at Piper's jokes.

When Ric Flair was introducing Piper and called him "the most entertaining man in history" the camera immediatley cut to HHH.

When Hogan said "I finally made it" I added "I finally cut off the audience!"

The respect was nice but after awhile it just dragged on too long.

Corkscrewed 04-03-2005 12:05 AM

Mark my words, 10 years from now, when Austin gets inducted into the HoF, the crowd will chant "WHAT" every two seconds, the speech will last 46 minutes, and the show will be the most expensive overrun in WWE history.

Corkscrewed 04-03-2005 12:06 AM

Yeah, Piper was awesome. I enjoyed his speech and induction way more than Hogan's.

Marc the Smark 04-03-2005 12:14 AM

A couple of observations........

1. I feel bad for the guys whose inductions weren't televised. Like somebody already said, it's like saying, "you're not important enough."

2. Did you notice when Stallone came out, everyone stood up EXCEPT Bob Orton and Paul Orndorff? It's like they were protesting, and I was actually quite happy. Do you really think "Rambo" belonged on that stage tonight??? Does Hogan think none of the guys he worked with in wrestling were good enough to induct him??????

3. Did you notice when Hogan started hugging the other guys, Orndorff again did not stand up??? What did you think about that????????????

4. I finally saw tonight how much Hogan LOVES himself. He could have started his speech about 20 minutes sooner, and the people would have stopped. He could have started his speech sooner, and would have had more time to thank the people who made him (including Vince McMahon). Instead, he stood there, taking it all in, and thinking only about himself. :n:

Any comments?

6to1 04-03-2005 12:14 AM

It was live tv. There was nothing they could do.

Gone Mad 04-03-2005 12:17 AM

Piper was WAY better than Hogan in the HOF ceremony. My niece was still awake and she got some of Piper's jokes, Hogan she was bored with after a while.

And BTW I think it was the wife that sat down prematurely too. I caught both of the times and just LMAO.

PullMyFinger 04-03-2005 12:34 AM

Rocky V sucked, indeed.

Loose Cannon 04-03-2005 03:01 AM

Did someone say Hogan doesn't belong there? what the hell? You can't deny how much money and how many fans he made and brought into wrestling. He deserved to stand up there for as long as he wanted too. I'm not a huge fan of Hogan by any means, but the impact he's had on the business is uncanny. It's realy true that the those guys sitting behind him wouldn't have made as much money as they did back in the 80's if it wasn't for Hogan.

The reaction he got was well deserved and I'm glad the fans kept going.

Loose Cannon 04-03-2005 03:05 AM

By the way, Orndorff is in pretty bad shape, so that's why he didn't get up.
