Official Monday Night RAW thread 4/4/05 - The fallout of Wrestlemania

http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/raw/images/rematch.jpg

Just 24 hours after the biggest night of the sports-entertainment calendar, WrestleMania, Monday Night RAW comes to you from Los Angeles.

When RAW hits the airwaves at 9/8 CT on Spike TV, Batista will spend his first Monday night as World Heavyweight Champion. What will Evolution have to say or do about that?

Also, Batista must be prepared for "Money in the Bank" Ladder Match winner Edge, who can pick the occasion for his World Heavyweight Championship opportunity at any time during the next 12 months.

Three of those Ladder Match participants won't be getting any rest at all. Instead, they'll battle in a Triple-Threat Match for the Intercontinental Championship. It'll be Shelton Benjamin defending against Chris Jericho and Christian on RAW.

Benjamin used his athleticism to his advantage Sunday at WrestleMania, utilizing both his body and the ladder as weapons. But will Benjamin have enough in the tank to fend off two former Intercontinental Champions in what is sure to be another fast-paced, unpredictable match?

For Jericho and Christian, it's a perfect time to pick off a champion. All three will be showing the wear and tear from last night's brutal match, and the title can change hands regardless of who is pinned or submits. Who will emerge as Intercontinental Champion? Watch Monday Night RAW to find out.

Also, there will be a WrestleMania rematch between Trish Stratus and Christy. Despite a gallant effort by the Playboy cover girl, Stratus overpowered Christy in their first encounter. Now that Christy's been in the ring with the Women's Champion, will she be able to adjust her game plan and bounce back with a huge win?

And how will RAW's other Superstars respond coming off WrestleMania 21? Be sure to watch and see.

that's just what we need Trish/Christy II

Triple Threat will probably be good

Team Sheep 04-04-2005 08:37 PM

Thought I'd start this off. So we're treated to another piss break with Trish and Christy. Atleast there's a triple threat to look forward to, should be good. This will be the first time I've watched RAW live, hope it doesn't dissapoint.

John la Rock 04-04-2005 08:38 PM

PureHatred 04-04-2005 09:28 PM

Has there ever been a less anticipated rematch. Why not just put the last nails in the Women's Division coffin and make this a Best-of-Seven?

:y: Triple threat.

Only if they hinted at big show vs akebono sumo match 2. That akebono guy has the mobility of a hippo with 4 broken legs.

I can't wait for tonight, except for Crappy Women's match Pt. 2. Give me Victoria... no, really, give me Victoria.

SammyG 04-04-2005 09:39 PM

I have a bad feeling that christy is gonna win the women's belt... shes hot and all, but if the title should have any dignity at all, let trish keep it, shes a great talker and not bad wrestling

PullMyFinger 04-04-2005 09:41 PM

Christy is so fucking hot.

Gerard 04-04-2005 09:42 PM

Since when did the twist of fate turn into a bog standard neckbreaker btw or is that just lita's attention span wandering and her not figuring out that matt does it more like an rko\diamond cutter?

Jeff Hardy started using the backwards Twist of Fate before he and WWE split ways.
