Probably a dumb question, but if I bought a video game in the USA and took it home to the UK, would it play on my UK console?

Some Xbox games don't have region protection on them, but the only one I can think of off hand is Street Fighter Anniversary Collection.
I know Microsoft don't enforce region protection, it's up to the publishers or developers. |
