Eventually, he stayed in the WCW long enough to have a horrible program with Dustin Rhodes as The Blacktop Bully. It ended with that match where the two of them fought on a moving flatbed truck.

Before he was Smash, Darsow played a Russian known as Krusher Kruschev.
