HAHA what the hell.... why are people putting rap from the mid 90's and after when we're talking about old-school shit?
Are people really that stupid  And in regards to old school rap/rock stuff, I think it was pretty interesting. I especially liked "Judgment Night" by Onyx and Biohazard. Catchy as hell. |
old school onyx rules
they were grimey before it become a fad |
They were grimey before N.O.R.E. made it pop.

:( I liked Firestarr... p.s.DegenerationY, download "Just Another Victom" by Helmet and House of Pain.. That whole soundtrack ruled but that was my favorite track.. |
What was the first rap song and what year was it made?
|
Sugar Hill Gang; Rapper's Delight 1982
|
That's the first one to get any real recognition in the music biz, but ther are songs dating back from the late 70s. I'm pretty sure Zulu Nation and Afrika Bambaata were there at the time.

"Rap" was a gradual start from soul/funk/RnB... All I know for fact is, Grand Master Flash & The Furious Five "The Jungle" is considered the first "rap" video... *EDIT* p.s.Afrika Bambaata and Zulu nation didn't "rap"... Soul Sonic Force did.. |
