DegenerationY 01-14-2004 06:24 PM

HAHA what the hell.... why are people putting rap from the mid 90's and after when we're talking about old-school shit?

Are people really that stupid

And in regards to old school rap/rock stuff, I think it was pretty interesting.

I especially liked "Judgment Night" by Onyx and Biohazard. Catchy as hell.

Supreme Olajuwon 01-14-2004 06:26 PM

old school onyx rules

they were grimey before it become a fad

DaveWadding 01-14-2004 06:31 PM

They were grimey before N.O.R.E. made it pop.

The Outlaw 01-14-2004 06:59 PM

SLAM! duuh duuh duuh duuh duuh duuh Let the boys be boys!

You should have told me before I bought it..

:(

I liked Firestarr...

p.s.DegenerationY, download "Just Another Victom" by Helmet and House of Pain.. That whole soundtrack ruled but that was my favorite track..

Savio 01-14-2004 08:55 PM

What was the first rap song and what year was it made?

DaveWadding 01-14-2004 08:58 PM

Sugar Hill Gang; Rapper's Delight 1982

Funky Fly 01-14-2004 10:04 PM

That's the first one to get any real recognition in the music biz, but ther are songs dating back from the late 70s. I'm pretty sure Zulu Nation and Afrika Bambaata were there at the time.

:y:

"Rap" was a gradual start from soul/funk/RnB... All I know for fact is, Grand Master Flash & The Furious Five "The Jungle" is considered the first "rap" video...

*EDIT*

p.s.Afrika Bambaata and Zulu nation didn't "rap"... Soul Sonic Force did..
