NFL Draft thread

Well 7 picks in and no trades or surprises..except Mike Williams is still there..if he is there at 11 the Cowboys better fuckin take him , who cares if they already have Key, a similiar reciever..he's getting older. They passed on Jackson last year but I believe they should take Williams if there .

Also Aaron Rogers is still there..looks like he'll drop for a bit more.

Nervous Ferret 04-23-2005 02:05 PM

yeah, ROFL at Rodgers. Last week he was gunna go #1, he's not even gunna be a top 10 pick now. Flippin between this and the yankee game.

Nervous Ferret 04-23-2005 02:05 PM

FUCKING Jets traded out of the first round.

Nervous Ferret 04-23-2005 02:06 PM

nah it was a good trade tho, Jolley is better than anything we woulda got, and now we got 2 2nd round picks.

MoRcHeEbA 04-23-2005 02:28 PM

Detroit took Mike Williams... :wtf:

MoRcHeEbA 04-23-2005 02:29 PM

also I dunno about the Vikes taking Williamson

Nervous Ferret 04-23-2005 03:02 PM

haha their saying Rodgers might not go until 24 to the Packers.

Nervous Ferret 04-23-2005 03:03 PM

yeah Williams to the Loins was pritty retarded.

FearedSanctity 04-23-2005 03:08 PM

Nah, Detroit's just getting ready for Rogers to get injured again.

DaveWadding 04-23-2005 03:09 PM

I'm shocked @ the Cards pick this year. They made it good.

OssMan 04-23-2005 03:14 PM

jesus, the lions are fucking stacked with wide receivers. The WRs started playing really well last year too.

Crimson 04-23-2005 04:10 PM

Lions are stupid..they need defense, what's the point of 3 starting recievers..

Cowboys adressing defense I guess they are switching to a 3-4. Hope they take a wr,or corner with the 2nd rounder.

el fregadero 04-23-2005 04:20 PM

Matt Jones to Jacksonville. I don't know much about him, but they were saying he's 6'6" and ran a 4.36. I hope he's the missing link for the Jaguars.

el fregadero 04-23-2005 04:25 PM

Jags better get Bryant McFadden in the second round.

Supermark101 04-23-2005 04:30 PM

Matt Jones is a freak of nature. I dont know what Jacksonville needs, but your getting Hines Ward with more SIZE and SPEED. Im sad Tampa Bay couldn't get him. :'(

DaveWadding 04-23-2005 04:30 PM

So Rodgers is probably going to Green Bay.

MoRcHeEbA 04-23-2005 04:40 PM

I don't know why they just picked him... Favre is gonna play for like another 30 years.

Ok BCWWF.

Nahh, he's right. Matt Jones is a freaking beast.

PureHatred 04-23-2005 05:18 PM

Love the two defensive picks by the Cowboys. I think Ronnie Brown might end up being the best player in this draft.

BCWWF 04-23-2005 06:13 PM

There is no way the Lions will keep both Mike and Roy aswell as Charles Johnson. I expect them to move Mike somewhere, maybe to a team like the Jets or something. Weren't they looking for improvement in the WR ranks?

Crimson 04-23-2005 06:40 PM

Charles Rogers. They probably will keep all 3 this year and then next year probably trade one of them or something.

BCWWF 04-23-2005 08:19 PM

I can't see them keeping both Williams' though, they are both #1 material and usually that doesn't last long.

FearedSanctity 04-23-2005 08:21 PM

I've waited 8 1/2 fucking hours, Denver better fucking pick someone good

The Miz 04-23-2005 08:29 PM

Does anybody actually watch this on TV? Its like the most boring thing of all time, took them 6 hours to get through the 1st round

Gonzo 04-23-2005 10:38 PM

I usually watch a little bit. The Giants first pick wasn't till the 43rd overall so I didn't bother watching that long.

FearedSanctity 04-23-2005 10:58 PM

OMG, how the fuck could Denver draft Maurice Clarett?

Nervous Ferret 04-23-2005 11:14 PM

I usually have it on all day, but I don't really sit and watch it.
OMGGG at the Jets. If they didn't draft that guy from Clemson Jets fans woulda revolted hugeeeeeeee. and lol @ Nugent.

Crimson 04-23-2005 11:23 PM

Jets got lucky Justin Miller fell. lol@ Clarett to denver, watch him be an all-pro now and shut his critics.

Nervous Ferret 04-23-2005 11:24 PM

rofl at Rodgers tho, fell all the way to #24

Gonzo 04-24-2005 12:18 AM

If Clarett has any sort of career in Denver it will be because of the system. They already had Tatum Bell and Quentin Griffin. They picked up Ron Dayne during FA and now they add Clarett? Waste of a pick.

Evil Vito 04-24-2005 10:15 AM

Webster and Tuck :y: Both guys high on their draft boards.

Now they'd better take that RB Ciatrick Fason next if he's there

Evil Vito 04-24-2005 11:47 AM

Typical Giants.....coulda had 3 of the 4 top guys on their board, but they pass on Fason and go with some guy named Brandon Jacobs instead and Fason goes 2 picks later :|

Jacobs had better be good

Innovator 04-24-2005 12:04 PM

I'm surprised the Giants passed on Dan Cody. I thought he'd be great to take a couple snaps while Strahan was getting some rest.

Evil Vito 04-24-2005 12:32 PM

Looking at the footage, Jacobs might have not been a bad pick. He's friggin' huge, 6'4", 256 lbs. Should be a great 3rd down/goal-line back, I Just hope he'll be good enough if Tiki gets injured/when Tiki retires in a couple of years.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-24-2005 12:35 PM

Logan Mankins

Surprising pick I guess - I don't know though. The Patriots never do whats expected. I figured they would go DB or LB with this pick but I guess not. Hopefully he turns out to be nasty. Cant doubt them when it comes to drafting anymore

SammyG 04-24-2005 12:53 PM

Rams did a great job

Bad Guy 04-24-2005 12:59 PM

At first, I'm pretty sure Detroit was going to go after Derrick Johnson, then when I heard "Mike Williams" I was like what the fuck. Then I started thinking the same thing as...

That was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this pick. 3rd down and short yardage back, big bruiser to help mix it up and provide an alternative to Tiki. Hopefully he becomes what Ron Dayne should have been.

BCWWF 04-24-2005 03:34 PM

Atiyyah Ellison to the Panthers

BCWWF 04-24-2005 03:39 PM

Wow, somebody actually drafted Damien Nash, Tennessee in the fifth, and then CJ Mosley fell all the way to the sixth...VIKINGS!!!!!
