I don't see a thread here about this guy.

I went to his gig in Dublin on Monday night, re-scheduled from March 12th, from an extremely intimate venue to a less-so, but still pretty tiny, venue.

Reading the various Dublin event guides talking publicising the gig, I gather he's pretty well known in the US. Over here, not at all, I gather.

I saw him on Jools Holland ages ago when I tuned in to see Bloc Party, and he was much, much more impressive. I downloaded a few songs, then invested, wisely as it turned out, in his debut album, Trouble.

Just your basic, common or garden singer/songwriter. Acoustic style, with a bit of understated string backing. Nothing grandiose, but good. However, his voice is like honey mixed in with some gravel, and with probably a few bees floating around in there too, wriggling their legs.
