The Greatest British stand up comedian
 

Please vote on the poll I'll be setting up shortly. I am, of course, using the comedians who I have actually seen perform. I will no doubt leave some off the list, and for that I apologise in advance. I pick Billy Connolly. Tough for me as I find Ricky Gervais, Peter Kay, Jethro and Lily Savage all hilariously funny. But the Big Yin wins it every time.

Ill'd go with Peter Kay.

I can't decide between Billy Connelly,Peter Kay and Ross Noble.

I haven't heard most of those.

It's a tough choice. I would pick Lee Evans, Jasper Carrott, Bottom Live, Peter Kay and Jack Dee.

Just watched Animals so I'll vote for Gervais as its freshest in my mind

Lee Evans. Awesome plus I've met him.

Off that list, Gervais. I'm not into much standup though. I don't understand the hype surrounding Peter Kay, I really don't find the man funny (or his standup anyway).
