Thank you, John Cena (SmackDown spoilers?)

...for finally turning that F-U sitout (Yebisu Drop style, like on WWE Day of Reckoning) when you go down with that move. Now that blasted thing looks like a real finisher.

One tiny step in the right direction... now let's move on to the rest of your match.

Hired Hitman 05-20-2005 05:54 AM

It's been like that since Wrestlemania(that's my dickhead gene at work). I agree that it looks much better now.

SuperSlim 05-20-2005 08:55 AM

yeah when he finally started dropping down with the move I was happy cause now when someone credible gets pinned by it it isn't sucha disgrace anymore.

BatistaBomb 05-20-2005 11:27 AM

it's a credible finisher now and thats coming from one of the biggest cena fans you'll ever find
cena fan since the night he walked out and challenged kurt angle

XL 05-20-2005 12:58 PM

Gotta say...the one on this weeks SD! was awesome!

I mean at Mania he dropped down, but on SD! he planted Basham BETWEEN his legs!

Just looks a lot more forceful and as already said legit as a finisher

It still is not as cool as the Crippler Crossface.

or the acid drop. no seriously, what the hell is up with that move!? Wouldn't it hurt Spike more than the other guy?

Speaking of which, can you think of any other 'moves' which should actually achieve more damage on the actor rather than the receiver?

Yeah, it was like a shoulder-mounted Michinoku Driver or something. Very cool.

Benoit's headbutt from the top rope?

I mean, seriously, that'd fuck up your neck doing that shit.

Corkscrewed 05-20-2005 03:42 PM

It's kinda weird... for a couple of weeks, Cena was doing the original FU to like Danny and the actual drop down on Doug only (or vice versa... but it was the same guy both weeks in a row).

But yeah... looks much better. Last night's version was kinda weird IMO, but only because it looked too much like a Michinoku Driver.

That always confused me too. I'm pretty sure throwing your body (tensed up like Benoit does) onto the mat would hurt more than a grazed shoulder from a headbutt which barely connects.

Jarrett's 'Stroke' looks too much like the Rock Bottom too. Who's he actually hurting there?

The Rock Bottom and The Stroke look absolutely nothing a like.

He was refering to that with how the moves hit that you could argue that the other person is getting hurt and in that way they are a like.

At Wrestlemania Cena did a sit down F-U and last night he did a sit out F-U.

The Michinoku Driver doesn't go from the fireman's carry position. The Michinoku Driver is actually the move that Renee Dupree has been using, the Dupree Driver or French Slam or whatever he calls it. The one he did last night was more like Lash Leroux's move that he use to use in WCW, the Whip Lash, except Lash's swings them around to the front and Cena turned to the side himself.

Speaking of the Michinoku Driver...I miss Taka...not for the INDEED days, more the days when he was the Light-Heavyweight Champion. Good times.

James Steele 05-20-2005 07:20 PM

I miss "Me Choppy Choppy You Pee Pee" KAIENTAI days. :'(

Back when Val Venis was a porn star and rescued by John Bobbet.

He was an awesome talent. I watched an ECW show on DVD a few weeks back with Taka in a match with Super Crazy, and its got to be one of the finest pieces of cruiserweight work i've seen.

Further more, the guy was over without so much as speaking more than two words of english. Indeed!
