EDDIE IS DA MAN (again) (spoilers inside technically)
 

I don't think there's been a post about this, though I didn't check the SD! spoilers thread, so it might have been discussed in there.

Anyway, when Eddie was turning heel and then actually did turn heel I was super excited, because the guy is just an amazing performer. So for the past couple of weeks, I've been raving about how he's so awesome he can get incredible heat without doing anything.

I meant it as a joke... but last night he basically did!


Eddie comes out for a promo. Fan's booing the SNOT out of him. He glares. Takes the mic. Then doesn't speak. Then takes the mask. Then glares. Then takes the mic. Then changes his mind. Then drops the mask. Then steps on it. Then wipes his feet on it like a mat. Then leaves.

And I'm like... 'oly shit... if anyone could pull off a mad heat-building promo without saying anything at all, it's Eddie.

AND HE DID.

LOL, I was going to post this. Yea, I was going to say that the heel turn and the feud between himand Rey have been amazing. It's a classic old school feud. When you got two guys like Eddie and Rey, who know each other inside out and can feed off one another, you're gonna get classic stuff.

Too bad it's prolly gonna 'end' at Judgment Day. If the writers were smart, though, they'd push this another month or two. Eddie and Rey can still put on some fucktastic matches with each other that would leave people :eek: assuming they're allowed to.

Eddie is indeed DA MAN. I share your concerns that the feud will end at Judgement Day but I think it will continue.

Eddie is the kind of guy who could get popped for pissing on an American flag performing for soldiers in Iraq. So it's no surprise that he's pulling this out. Well, it's a surprise, but not a huge one. I'm still worried this'll end poorly, but if they can let Eddie establish himself as a strong heel, it will greatly benefit Smackdown.

Nah, I believe the payoff at this feud will be at Summerslam. Eddie will get the needed win Sunday and then Rey will get his comeback victory at Summerslam.

Whats funny is that most fueds that go on for a couple of months get really boring and redundant. Like pretty much everytime HHH loses a title, but this one... I could watch until SummerSlam easily. The last long lasting fued i really paid attention to was Angle vs Benoit.

I'd love to see those two go at it again. :drool:

That might be because the majority of longterm feuds involve Triple H...

I'm so glad the wwe have finally done something right in turning eddie heel. At first i didn't think the turn would work, but i think its made him much more interesting.

Hopefully this will lead to another run with the title.

Eddie has always been a great performer, and he proved it again this week. I was thinking when he turned heel, how popular he has been, that it would take a while for people to really hate Eddie. But like what was said, he gave a great heel promo this week without saying one word. It's just amazing when a few guys nowadays can talk forever and not get a point across, yet Eddie can do it without saying anything.

Funny how everyone thought the marks would still cheer for Eddie. :shifty:

Here's hoping Angle gets drafted to RAW. :drool:

Eddie's doing amazing as a heel, but the fans dont want to boo him.

Hopefully Eddie will get some wins against Rey though. Rey has taken the last 3 against Eddie if I'm not mistaken.

I really hope that they have Eddie "snap" at Judgment Day after they have a good long awesome match and Rey won't die so Eddie just snaps and beats the living shit out of Rey with weapons and stuff. Eddie is playing my favorite kind of heel and is really showing that a heel doesn't have to be a cocky heel, cheesy crazy heel, but a legitimate psycho heel. :D

Eddie is the best true heel WWE has right now hands down. (Especially after HHH turned face and went home :D)
