Viscera gets the biggest ratings of the year, give the man the world title!

05/25/2005 - Raw drew a season-high 4.3 rating last week and it should be interesting to note that the Viscera/Lilian segment with Viscera singing Barry White achieved a massive 4.8 quarter-hour rating. Other high-rated segments include the Edge vs. Kane main event, which achieved a 4.7 rating. Randy Orton's surprise return garnered a 4.6 rating and the Ric Flair vs. Christian match landed a 4.4 rating.

So as it turns out, Viscera and Lilian got the highest quarter hour rating for the highest-rated Raw this year what with their 4.8 rating and thus beating out the main event in overall viewership for the night.

Jaton 05-26-2005 07:58 AM

Yep. Wrestling is doomed when Viscera is drawing higher ratings than anyone else.

Hired Hitman 05-26-2005 08:31 AM

It's because of Lillian's short skirts :naughty:

;)

Eunos 05-26-2005 08:39 AM

Sad thing is i wouldnt be suprised if Bis Vis was main eventing by the end of the year :/.

Ah well i still like him.

Hired Hitman 05-26-2005 09:10 AM

... I'm serious, she has some nice thighs.

TerranRich 05-26-2005 09:36 AM

That she does. Then again, lots of Latina chicks have nice thighs. :naughty:

...Melina, anyone? ;)

tucsonspeed6 05-26-2005 09:54 AM

1: Notice that HHH isn't in any of these big ratings segments.

2: There aren't any big sports finals wrapping up, and probably the biggest Monday night ratings getter, 24, didn't end its season until this week. I'd be suprised to find out where all of these viewers are coming from.

3: With all of these season finales running through the past couple weeks, do you think HHH's strategy was to pull a Hogan and leave when the ratings were expected to go down? If that was the case, he was obviously mistaken I think.

4: I'm suprised Jericho isn't in any of those big ratings segments either. I think it's because they haven't really done anything with his character until just last week.

Vince: Wow! The biggest ratings of the year! It must be because everyone was tuning in to see if Hunter would return! HUNTER! You're on next week!

Anyway, those are some good ratings. It just proves that Triple H has nothing to do with IMPROVING ratings. If anything, he has a lot to do with dropping ratings.

Yes, I actually think he was. And I think its great that it didn't work. I thought the whole Gold Rush Tournament story arc was interesting, and it showed that the WWE could put on some really good shows when its not obligated to feed Hunter's ego.

Triple H should be one part of the shows, not the entire focus.

Was it your turn to make a little joke, Mr. Jonster? :p

Mr. JL 05-26-2005 12:13 PM

WOW. Good going for Viscera and Lillian! PUSH HIM.

Mr. JL 05-26-2005 12:14 PM

Edge and Kane did well too. Good thing there was a Lita turn to make it more interesting instead of just nothing happening.

tucsonspeed6 05-26-2005 01:02 PM

With the Edge and Kane thing, I wonder if this is will be an alert to the bookers that the internet smart mark community is larger than they know.

Probably not, but hopefully they'll accidentally stumble across more interesting stories like this anyway.

The Lone Drinker 05-26-2005 01:03 PM

Viscera has no talent. I pray this whole thing will end soon.

Melina's ugly.

Fat sex black men = Ratings? :shifty:

Thriller 05-26-2005 07:56 PM

Does anyone else find it weird how everyone complained about the diva search because it took away from other things. But yet Vis hitting on Lillian, while eating draws. What next JBL doing a hurricrana?

The One 05-26-2005 07:58 PM

Diva Search = Trash.

Big Vis hitting on divas while eating = Comedy Gold.

Bit of a difference.

Schoenauer 05-26-2005 08:20 PM

Viscera with the title = brilliance.
Diva Search: No chance in hell!

DIE NOW

Hired Hitman 05-26-2005 11:24 PM

I don't think viscera will win Wrestler of the year. *watches marcyo stare in shock* but he is entertaining with this eatting/loving gimmick.

The One 05-27-2005 12:37 AM

I just don't know where they can go with this. He is getting massively over, but sooner or later we will be subjected to his wrestling again, and that will kill any upward movement by him...unless he starts managing some wrestlers who all get honry and hungry.

Corkscrewed 05-27-2005 12:55 AM

Man... if wrestling was a betting business and one of the topics was "Odds of people being ratings leaders," the one guy who bet on Viscera would be filthy rich right now.

Should someone check how hell's doing? Might be a bit chilly.

The One 05-27-2005 12:57 AM

Viscera is the highest rated segment on RAW, Bradshaw is a Former World Champ and current Main Eventer...the Attitude Era side of me is offically died of heart attack.

Jaton 05-27-2005 01:09 AM

Now, we just need Farooq to come back and win the WWE championship and Mideon to come back and do..something. Did he ever really do anything noteworthy in the ministry?

Yep, who ever thought in 5-6 years away from the Attitude Era, this is what we would see?

Maybe a return for George "The Animal" Steele? You know him and his fetish for turnbuckles. :shifty:
