There's not much point to it, it would be a cost to square, money wise and time wise, time they could be using to make a new game.

I'm sure they could easily fit it in their schedule. And I imagine they'd make a hefty profit. Which is usually all companies care about anyway.

But I'd agree with you IF they fucked it up. Then I'd have to kill them.

I wouldn't say easily fit it in their schedule, they'd have to take staff from other projects, putting them behind schedule, and losing them more money.

To remake the game, they'd possibly have to reprogram the whole thing as it would be running on different hardware, so there's a chance the code wouldn't work anymore.
If they didn't have to do that, they'd have to redo the graphics, and the sound as well (to bring it up to date). They then would still have to test it, to make sure there were no glitches in the graphics, that the old code still worked fine on the new console, and there were no sound problems.

It's by no means a quick job by a long shot, but it wouldn't necessarily be a full job.

I agree its no small task. But I believe it is worth the time and moeny.

As far as I'm concerned, MGS fails terribly, and I'm beginning to hate Halo due to the morons on XBL (hope Conker Live and Reloaded has less stupidity than Halo 2 online does).

Besides...In my opinion, if they did use FF VII remake time to work on another game, they might come out with another trainwreck like Final Fantasy 9. *shudder*

FF9 was good. It's the last good FF product made.

Whats the point? The main driving force behind FF7 was the story and that would have to be 100% untouched. I would pay a max of £10 to play the same thing again, no matter how good

I am biased. This is my favorite game ever. If it were say MGS1 I'd prolly say no.

Twin Snakes was for another system anyway. I can actually understand that more than an FF7 remake because at least it is releasing it to a new base of fans on a different system. (Unless you own more than one console blahblahblah)

The twin snakes was a failure as a remake because silicon knights changed the cut scenes. Has anyone here seen them? They are laughable. Snake moves like someone in the matrix. It was cool seeing the game in the new engine, but the changes made the game worse.

As for a final fantasy remake, hell why don't they do 6 (part 3 in the states) before 7. Part 7 still holds up pretty well in this day and age, while part 6 has one of the best storylines of all time. I'm by all means not a remake fan, because it will only breed more remakes, but if your going to remake something, make it really count and not because the characters are slighly blocky looking.

I wonder if they will get voice actors to do the parts for the new ff7, that would deffinantly be cool to hear the game come alive,
