Rate the Tag Team - Day 2 - The Dudley Boyz
 

Hello everybody and welcome to Day 2 of Rate the Tag Team. Some people thought this was a dumb idea but they can fuck off. One of the reasons I come to the TPWW wrestling forum is for RTW. This is exactley the same thing except for tag teams. I don't want TPWW to forget about the tag team division like the WWE has so everybody vote and have fun. We have so many teams to cover from WWE, WCW and ECW so lets get it started.

Last time The Rockers scored an 87. I personally think that is exactley what they deserved. One of my favorites as a kid but not exactley one of the greatest.

Today we have one of the greatest tag teams to ever grace an ECW and WWE ring. They have won the tag titles so many times that i'm not even going to try to count. Tables are their favorite type of furniture and they have a whole clan of family members. The masters of the 3D, D-Von and Bubba Ray, The Dudley Boyz!

I am going to give them a 5. They are not all that spectacular. They were the top shit in ECW because they actually had a decent ability to move in the ring and could work the mic freely, but once they came to WWE, they have done nothing but get in the way of everything else. As a team they have done alot sure, but there is nothing about them that any other team couldn't do. They are solid enough in the ring that they don't belong lower then average (a 5) but certainly don't get any higher points from me. Over glorified mid-card workers if you ask me.

I would give them a 8.5 one of my favourite tag teams, cant wait for them to come back

I still hate this because we've already tried doing it before and it failed, but I'll rate cause I love thwe Dudleys.

To me, The Dudleys were everything a tag team should be. One of my favorites of the past 10 years.

6...no denying their good, but I'm just not a big fan of them.

I'm going to have to go with The One here. The Dudleys main talent WAS the ability to use profanity filled promos to generate heat in ECW. Taking that away from them took away 85-90% of what really got them over - leaving you with a regular, average, plain tag team who just happens to have a gimmick. Nothing special about them really.

the dudleyz were a pretty good tag team in ECW.

I loved thier mic work persoally, especially with Bubba's Long Island accent.

They got boring after awhile.

I would give the Dudley’s a 7 for their performance on TV. However, seeing them live they are phenomenal and deserve a 9. One of the best I've ever seen working a crowd. Averaging this out I will give them an overall 8.

7. Dont like them but they managed to accomplish alot. Although most of that was in ecw..The Nasty Boys of their time, just simply over glorified.

The Nasty Boys of their time...I couldn't have said it any better. I'll also rate them a 7, because you simply cannot deny their accomplishments.

I definately with The One and Kayfabe Man here. I think D-Von is a way better performer than Bubba, he just doesn't have the mic skills. I consider Regal/Tajiri an average tag team, the Dudleys are a below average spotfest team. Although I do enjoy some spotfest wrestlers(Sabu, Sandman, etc) these guys just don't do it for me. With that being said, I do believe they are the best team on Smackdown(pretty bad huh?) and I did throughly enjoy their match versus Balls Mahoney/Spike Dudley at Heatwave 1999. So for that I give them a

Tag teams should be judge by their team chemistry, longeviety, fan interaction, and overness, not how talented they are in the ring.

If you're judging on that then just about every tag team in history sucks or are around average.
