Edge on Lita/Matt situation
 

Edge talked publicly for the first time ever about his affair with Lita earlier this month. He was part of a 40-minute journalist roundtable with Cena, Stacy Keibler, Victoria, and others at the Electronics Entertainment Expo in California on 5/19. Edge said it's tough maintaining family relationships on the road. He said his mom is the most important person in the world to him and he maybe gets to see her every two or three months. He hangs out with his friends he grew up with once every year if he's lucky. He said the situation with Lita was awkward for both of them. The storyline with Kane spawned out of real-life and there were never any plans for it to happen. He said Vince paid attention to the crowd reactions and asked them to go with it: "We could give it 50% and it just wouldn't work. So we said, okay, we've got to take this and run with it. We've been put in this position now and we might as well go with it." Edge claimed that he still talks to Matt Hardy about two times a week. Regarding the Internet coverage of his personal life: "I think a lot of people have a lot of time on their hands. That was my first thought about it. It's interesting that my life seems to be so interesting to other people. I've accepted being the Angelina Jolie of the locker room."

No but I totally agree with him. I am starting to have less and less of a problem with the Lita/Edge situation...notice I did leave one name out of that situation, because as far as I am concerned he is no longer a factor and is just a victum of a past relationship.

In any case, my respect for him plummeted after hearing about the affair. Matt needs to get over it, but that doesn't change the fact that Edge screwed over a very good friend just to get a girl.

It also doesn't make him better in the ring or on the mic just because Matt can't get over it.

Exactly my thoughts fignuts. It's strange how short peoples memories are. I don't care about Matt losing Lita, relationships ends and begin all the time, what i hate is how Matt lost his job because of this, i still don't quite get how it came to that.But i blame Edge for it.

It is funny though to see Edge trying to get sympathy and using it to justify him being with Lita, and then at the sametime dissing us 'internet fans.'

Seriously, this is a different story. It has nothing to do with whether or not people LIKE Edge or feel bad for Matt.

Furthermore, people felt bad for Matt at first, but the way he handled the himself during the aftermath was enough to make people roll their eyes in his general direction, I would imagine.

I still feel bad for Matt. Being fired because your gf is a slut makes for instant sympathy. However comma, I also feel he's being a petty cunt who needs to get on with his life instead of looking like a petty cunt.

They're two separate concepts, that someone's desparate to lump together to make up an argument.

I was disappointed to see matt lose his job, since I like his work, but I could care less about all the backstage drama. I'm not about to sit around and judge people based on a situation that I really know nothing about, involving a group of people I don't even know.
