That's good to hear. I really, really, really hope the WWE offer Joey Styles heaps and heaps and heaps of money to come to the WWE full-time as a commentator. Seriously, Joey Styles is one of the few guys that can call moves and really channel emotion while doing it. He can make things seem real, and that's what the WWE needs in commenators, IMO.

Years after i was a mark, Joey managed to get the dudleys so over that I hated them and really beleived that he hated them as well, he was that good at getting everyone over, no matter what there posistion on the card

Joey Styles sucks ass, he has an annoying whiny voice and would be scilent for like 30 second portions of a match which as any broadcast student knows is a major sin. People like to glorify Styles because he did the commentary all by himself most of the time. Whenever he was with someone else doing commentary they had no chemistry.

His chemistry with Cyrus I would dare say is second best only to Heenan and Monsoon. One thing they had going for them was the sublties, that most announcers these days forget about. Furthermore, he actually called matches, which is rarely done today, and god forbid he knows the name of moves.

To see how good Styles is, watch Rey Misterio Jr vs. Psychosis in their first ECW match. He put over how gifted they are, did his best to call the moves, and kept up with the luchadors.

So you want a commentator who talks throughout the match about his personal life and only commits maybe 15 seconds to actually calling the match over silence?

YES! That lucha libre classic ranks amongst my all time favourites. Styles called it like it was the apocalypse and his contribution added an extra half a star to an already ***** match (if that's possible).

Whether you love him or hate him, Styles is one of the best in the business and like most have already said in this thread, his chemistry and banter with Cyrus was tremendous.

It looks like One Night Stand is coming together awesomely.

Styles and Gertner or even Styles and Heyman would be fucking sweet.

Only bad thing is that RVD ruined this surprise by mentioning it in that interview, and now he's in hot water. As much as a love Van Dam, he really had no reason to do this other than to be a dick. Just another reason for McMahon/Helmsley to depush RVD.

At least we know he'll be at the event (RVD). It just wouldn't be an ECW reunion event without the most popular wrestler in ECW history, and I'm sure McMahon realizes this. I just cringe at the thought of what they're going to do to RVD in the WWE after what he's done.
