The first Raw star to be drafted to Smackdown is Chris Benoit.

So Benoit starts out on SmackDown, spend two years there, then goes to RAW, spends two years, and now back to SmackDown, any bets on where he is in two years...besides under the glass ceiling.

I was hopin the talent situation would be equalized between raw and smackdown after this draft. i did mark out like crazy when cena was drafted, but so far, raw has such an advantage in the picks, cena is way more over than benoit. I think Edge is gonna get traded, and maybe Christian too. Wouldn't mind seeing the heartthrobs gone either. Keep Viscera though :D

Raw gets the most over superstar on smackdown at the moment, aswell as their World champion.

Smackdown gets someone they had two yers ago,and is practically washed up now.

Smackdown gets fucked over in the draft once again. Who cares about Smackdown? Not WWE!

Yeah, that's the only reason I'm not marking out more. It doesn't feel quite as fresh as Cena on RAW...but on the other hand, Benoit on Smackdown is remiscent of the glory days of that brand.

(Also, I'm not convinced Cena's staying on RAW.)

Okay,people take what i said completely out of context.

Lets compare Benoit and Cena for a moment. What exactly has Benoit done since being champion? Nothing. What is Cena doing at the moment? He's the WWE champion and doesn't look like going backwards anytime soon. Where as Benoit is nearer the end of his career, that's why i say he's washed up. Maybe i should've chosen a different word, but thats all i could think of to describe his current situation.

I am as big a Benoit fan as the next guy, i'm just saying what i truly believe.

Btw. thanks James for neg repping me for saying the truth. I thought you were smarter than that.I really hope i'm proved wrong and hope Benoit has a decent run on smackdown, but he was there two years ago, there's a reason why he was traded, because nothing was left for him, i can't see what else he could do on sd. Maybe Benoit could feud with Christian or Carlito, thats all i can think of.

Exactly, its not as fresh at all, he was there TWO YEARS AGO,well not even that long to be exact. So its not really that big a deal.Someone like Christian would've been better, though i guess they're saving that one to keep us guessing.

Really? I don't see why he should be drafted, i want him to stay on raw personally.

Benoit is the greatest as far as I am concerned, so whether he stays there or not, it's still good for SD. As long as it wasn't Simon Dean as the first pick. Now let's see what comes up on the next Raw.

RAW gets SD's major champ. Writers might think that giving SD Raw's midcard champ makes it "even."

Plus, Shelton could be the fourth member of the "technical wrestlers' stable." :D

I can see your thinking behind this actually, would make sense. I just think it's best for Shelton himself to stay on Raw, but probably better for smackdown that he switches shows.

Plus if they want to make Smackdown the more technical/cruiserweight style wrestling show then it would make even more sense to have him rather than Batista switch shows. Batista would actually look out of place on smackdown come to think of it.

Hey at least this opens the door form Booker T and Benoit to bring what they did in WCW to the next level also Benoit could go against Taker as well, to my knowledge they never went one on one. Benoit vs. Rey would be sick in my opinion...

And thats not to mention Guerrero and Angle who have tons of chemestry with Benoit. So Raw gets the more over wrestler, but Smackdown! once agaiin turns into the "wrestling" brand... Now all they need is Jericho and the momentum swings towards Smackdown for once.

Now they should draft Jericho over to SD. I don't think I'd ever get tired of any combination of Benoit, Guerrero, Jericho, and Angle. The 4 of them could make a blindfolded, bra and panties, kennel from hell, pillow fight match turn into match of the year.

You're forgetting about Y2J or Benoit vs. Carlito. That's not cool.
