Casting Call: Batgirl Begins

Hey, freaks of nature. I'm penning a Batgirl script with all intent to sell that sum-bitch to WB for whatever they want for it. Although I won't have anything to do with it, I got an idea of the cast I want to appear in it. And I haven't seen a casting call thread in a while. Story's based in the revamped Batman franchise because I RESPECT CONTINUITY.

Kristin Kreuk:Batgirl/Cassandra Cain

My script doesn't acknowledge Babs as Batgirl, as Cassandra Cain is a much more interesting character. And I believe Smallville's Kristen Kruek (Lana Lang) can pull off the troubled/sexy/silent/coming of age/deadly Batgirl the script is needing.

Christopher Lambert:Cassandra's Father/trainer

I can't find a pic of the character, but Lambert would be able to pull off the martial artist who trained his daughter to the point of altering her brain.

Julia Styles:Barbara Gordon

I'm not too thrilled about this place holding thought. In my story Barbara is a rookie cop trying to please her father. She later finds a kindred spirit in Batgirl as they both lay in the shadows of their inspirations.

Characters that I haven't attached an actor to include Dick Grayson, who I will not have as Robin; and Harley Quinn, although I do have an idea of who can pull her off. Discussion and/or scrutiny is widely accepted.

PS: One of the changes I'd like for the custume is to cut out her bat-symbol right along the yellow lines to show cleavage, and let her hair come out of the back of the cowl in a ponytail as a throwback to the classic Batgirl.

didn't Dick Grayson give up being Robin and became Nightwing?

Yeah, but I have strong feeling that they'll bypass that story line for the current 'Tim' Robin; and shoot Dick into Nightwing status in the future. Besides, would you wanna follow up Chris O'Donnel's steller performance?

Nightwing is the man.
