Hardy breaks his silence
 

Following Monday's controversial wedding segment, Matt Hardy has finally broken his silence. The following was posted on his official website:

"I've had an amazing few days and I am ecstatic about my future. I want to thank everyone who has been supportive and believes in me--you mean so much more to me than you'll ever know. Wherever I end up in the future, I just want you guys to stick with me and continue to believe in me. I promise I won't let you down. I will prove that nice guys do finish first. I will prove that anything is possible if you work hard enough for it."

Is he coming back???

He matured awfully quick, didn't he?

I mean, even if he WASN'T talking all the shit he was, I'd think that he would have at least a FEW choice words on the subject.

Actually, while he was making those statements, his brother was throwing himself through 14 battery acid covered, burning tables...so to the trained eye his statement was actally a spot-fest.

Sounds like he's coming back, that's way too obvious.

Say what you want about Matt Hardy, as soon as he embraced the Mattitude gimmick, he was the darling of the internet. Everyone thought of Hardy as an untalented, lesser-than-Jeff, spot-monkey. Some still do, but he produced one of the more entertaining gimmicks on both rosters a while back, IMO, so his return is worth marking-out over.

I dunno if the WWE are bringing him back, Hardy is just playing it up for ROH or TNA, or if Hardy is just going with the moment to try and carry his heat with him wherever he goes.

Hopefully Hardy returns at Vengeance, and we can see a feud between them develope into the latter half of this year.

Honestly those comments sound like he is specifically NOT coming back. He's reaching the end of his no compete claus in his contract. He's excited about getting back in the ring and isn't sure which company he'll end up with i.e. ROH, TNA, or eventually back in the WWE.

WWE owns the song they played on monday, not Matt Hardy. They could let Edge start using the theme if they wanted, it makes no difference. It's not a sign of anything other than the fact that WWE is no longer trying to hide the truth about what happened.

I watched Raw last night and even though I'd read the spoilers here, I still kind of thought it would be cool if Matt Hardy came out.

To be honest I think Vengeance is too near for Hardy to return try summerslam...

They were hiding it when

1. They were trying to keep Lita face
2. When they were taking up any signs referencing it
3. When they tried to focus all that attention on Edge/Kane and pretend that Hardy didn't exist.

The only time they really brought it out to the public (as if they didn't already know) was at the ECW thing. They pretty much only started to admit it recently because they really had no other choice.

I know people never said he owned the song, but as soon as the song played everyone started thinking "OMG MATT HARDY IS REALLY COMING BACK!!!"

If he did come back at KOTR, there is no way in hell the writers would allow Matt to defeat Edge in the tourney. Why? There has NEVER been a time where the writers have worked for months on a heel push just to let it get shattered by someone with no such on-air push, i.e., Matt Hardy, high mid-carder at best. For the past few months, Edge has been promoted as potential main event material. His ability to win the Title is there. If the writers value their jobs, they will NOT allow Matt Hardy to beat Edge so soon. That is, if he comes back in the first place, of course.
