Blue Meanie considering taking legal action over incident with JBL

In an interview with Alex Marvez, The Blue Meanie reportedly confirmed that he's at least considering legal action over the recent incident with JBL.

Meanie, who noted that the pair actually shook hands before the event, was completely shocked by the attack.

"I was thrown off guard," Meanie said. "I turned around and saw a shot coming right to my face."

The wrestler also commented on the incident that transpired backstage:

"People were between us and he started yelling about how I had talked bad about him on the Internet. I was like, 'It's a work...Look at him. The guy is 6-7, and 300-something pounds. He's a little more imposing than me."

Meanie does admit to offering unflattering opinions about JBL on the Internet; he also spoke against the WWE wrestler in a deposition during the Silverman case.

Marvez, of the Scripps Howard News Service, noted that WWE refused to allow JBL to comment; unless the reporter agreed to let WWE post audio on its website.

Doubt it'll fly.

There's just no way to prove something like this. It happened in the ring while over 30 men we're completely "brawling" with each other.

It's a crappy thing to have happen but maybe Meanie will shut his mouth now and JBL will take this as a firm warning not to do it again. Everyone wins.

That's unfortunately true, KK, but it sucks. You see, most non-fans believe that well, since wrestling is about faking injury to another person, there are bound to be "accidents" and being stiff would count among those accidents to outsiders. There has to be a universal rule about stating the difference between faux-punching and real, stiff, meant-to-do-damage punching. Unfortunately, non-fans will never recognize that.

I smell an episode of Law & Order.

I thought we already saw this ep last season.

Meanie deserves another beating if he really thinks he can win a lawsuit over this. If you could, every person who gets in the ring with guys like Holly, Benoit, or RVD would be able to sue.

It sounds more and more like he got what he had coming to him. Its fun to talk trash when you are behind a computer, but then to hide behind "its a work" is pretty lame. He talked trash, and JBL called him on it, and he had to pay for it.

Maybe he'll learn if you cant back it up, you shouldn't talk shit.

So now it's an episode of Law and Order SVU?

I can see Bradshaw getting off on the "12 year old internet baby in his mom's basement" defense...even though Meanie is a wrestler

I don't think he'd have a big case unless a bunch of "witnesses" were brought in AND the jury bought it. It's unfortunate, but JBL picked the perfect time to suckerpunch Meanie.

I much rather let Grissom tackle this one. Use those cool blue light things to scan the blood stained ring. Now that's quality television

Ah, so you're of the insipid opinion that if you say something about somebody, then you deserve getting split open and bloodied? Get a fucking clue.

WTF? Kinda unlike the WWE to pick up on an Internet story and run with it.

JBL says Meanie has nothing to offer him, he's right. Thing is, look at his actions. He's lieing, at the very least, to himself.
