Cricket 2005

Anyone got this? I'm thinking of getting it but I think it's one of those things that EA could either make it a really enjoyable game, or fuck it up really bad.

Mike the Metal Ed 07-03-2005 06:22 PM

If EA Cricket turns out shit, there's a new Brian Lara game coming out.

Disturbed316 07-03-2005 06:34 PM

Cricket has to the worst sport to turn into a game.

Mike the Metal Ed 07-03-2005 06:37 PM

The original Brian Lara Cricket was really good.

Wengerland 07-03-2005 07:23 PM

I'll probably pick up the new Brian Lara one, i've been playing the old one a lot recently but Michael Atherton is in it.

Didn't notice Cricket 2005 in the shops.

Bad Company 07-03-2005 08:41 PM

2005 is alright, I've been playing it a tad, but rugby 2005 is the way to go :y:

Cuzziebro 07-03-2005 11:08 PM

Id say. Rugby 2005 os the best. I have Cricket '04 and that isnt that good but maybe '05 will be. Also has anyone played Ricky Ponting Cricket?

Gonzo 07-03-2005 11:24 PM

I fucking let some kid borrow my god damn Rugby '04 or whatever and the bastard graduated high school, haven't seen him since. Fucker made off with my game after I had only had it for a week.

Gonzo 07-03-2005 11:24 PM

Fun ass game too. Mother fucker.

Bad Company 07-04-2005 01:34 AM

rugby 05 is 19048239875378965348956 times better than 04, get it!

Cuzziebro 07-04-2005 07:11 AM

Bad Company do you use Fiji at all in Rugby 2005? I think they are a real good team on the game.

Wengerland 07-04-2005 09:23 AM

Yeah i need to pick up Rugby 2005, 2004 is decent i guess.

They should do the same thing as with Brian Lara cricket, make a new Jonah Lomu Rugby game.

Gonzo 07-04-2005 12:29 PM

Yeah I had also heard Rugby 04 was terrible in comparison to 05. I'll have to check it out.

Team Sheep 07-04-2005 02:08 PM

Rugby 2004 is like playing on a PS1 game, the graphics are that bad. And some of the developers probably don't even know the rules of rugby. For instance, if you kick for goal off a penalty and it's too short and it's still in play, they go back for a kick off half way if I remember correctly. I've had Rugby 2005 for a while however, and it's really good. :y: Apart from the fact that the London Wasps are the only licensed British team on the game. :o

The Mackem 07-05-2005 09:39 AM

I've been playing this game on my lunch damn addictive:

The Mackem 07-06-2005 08:39 AM

Watch out for them slow balls :(

Disturbed316 07-06-2005 11:06 AM

Damn you Mackem, I'm hooked

The Mackem 07-06-2005 01:04 PM

yeah I can't get past the semi final though :(

Disturbed316 07-06-2005 04:07 PM

Cant get past the first round :o

Are there all the same British club sides in it? :$ Just want to make sure the Tigers are.

When you say they're not licenced (assuming they are still in) does that mean fake names or anything aswell? :(

They include all the British clubs that were in the Heineken Cup last season (04-05), and all the names are the same apart from Harlequins who are called Richmond :wtf: But yeah all the names are the same, and the kits look pretty much the same, it's just the club badges that aren't there really.
