Released Superstars so far. (Update: july 8)
World Wrestling Entertainment has come to agreements on the release of the following Superstars, WWE would like to wish them the best in their future endeavors.
|
Both were posted before. But you should change the title to something like "List of Superstars Released" or something like that, then edit it each time someone else goes.

Wait.
:shifty: Gangrel's actually been under employment this whole time? I've seen him like, twice, if ever recently. What the hell? |
so they got rid of Maven and Kidman and brought back The Godfather? What is this? 1996?

Damn. Spike too? :(

March 2006...I don't know if this is balsphamy or what, but Ted Turner needs to make a return to this sport (though it looks doubtful).
With all these people that are going to be let go, I think wrestling needs a market as big as the WWE, and that not TNA. |
Hopefully Spike and Shannon Moore get a chance to shine in TNA.
|
Okay, so they traded Jindrak to Raw only to get fired?
|
My thoughts on the released superstars...
Mark Jindrak He was never really exciting to watch... He brought two things to the table, an amazing dropkick and an awesome physique... His wrestling style was very mechanical and caused slow, irritating matches... Surprised to see him released actually since I was expecting him to be involved with something along with Chris Masters, however I think it was a good move because his talent will always hold him back from being the "next big thing"... Maven Not surprised to see the release and a pretty obvious move... Maven hasn't been over for a very long time and he was never an amazing talent... Seeing him out there is actually quite boring and he hasn't had any memorable matches... Good young hopeful but definitely not a necessity for the roster and another very good release, in my opinion... Shannon Moore Internet fans dream about him; I don't know why... Average at best and hardly the best cruiser around... I was hoping he would be released and I was also hoping the same thing for Scotty 2 Hotty, which has yet to be seen since he has been with the company for a very long period of time... A guy like this might do better in something like TNA or even ROH... James Yun (Akio) Sad to see him go... Very talented, however not the most charismatic... Solid worker and a great hopeful... Wanted to see the CW title on him in the near future... Worst choice for a release for me because he was actually exciting to watch... WWE should have capatilized on something involving Tajiri and Akio vs. Psicosis and Crazy... Lots of talent like Akio and Tajiri have been misused for a long period of time... David Heath (Gangrel) They should have at least used him more than once if he has been getting paid this whole time? It's a cool gimmick, I think... Gangrel + Viscera as tag champions = ratings as opposed to Hurricane + Rosey... Billy Kidman Not surprised... Injury prone and has been lacking in the ring for a long time... I expect to see him in TNA soon enough... Was never really going to get over big again and his feud with London was prematurely buried... He has had some outstanding matches in the past but his career has come to a pretty big bump in the past year or two... Spike Dudley Actually happy about this... I am sure WWE could get him to work another ECW-related project, however he is hardly an exciting cruiserweight to watch and everything involving him and the Dudleys has been done to death... Never an amazing in-ring worker and even harder to watch him in the past year or so with his dreadful work as a heel... He has been poorly booked and the fans are giving him X-Pac heat... Not surprised nor upset about this release... Kevin Fertig The Mordecai thing was killed pretty quickly so I'm not surprised... WWE hardly needs anymore slow, oversized workers that put on identical matches... Watching Edge, Snitsky, Kane, Show, Morgan, Heidenreich, Masters and Viscera matches is as far as it's going to go... These guys are at least getting over with prosperous gimmicks and playing to the crowd... :-\ |
I just realized they released Mordecai. Sad.... I thought he would at least just wait in OVW. But these moves don't make sense for the stuff they could do.
Plus they just killed the CW division. Again. |
Masters.....over?
|
Dudleys just got the boot...and innovator said Morgan is gone to. My guess is brock just resigned and they had to cut pay checks
|
add Charlie Hass, Miss Jackie, and Dawn Marie to that list
|
Add:
Charlie Haas Jackie Gayda Marty Jannetty Dawn Marie To that list, just checked wwe.com. |
Curse you Goulet!
|
They might release Dawn Marie. She's pregnant, and they won't bother with a woman with stretch marks and a belly.
|
Out with the old divas in with the new.
Current employees must shit themselves when the memo goes round saying that there will be a diva search. |
This company just does not have a clue. And how the fuck did Heidenreich survive the cuts?
|
List as of 2:10 EST
Matt Morgan Charlie Haas Jackie Gayda Marty Jannetty Dawn Marie Mark Jindrak Maven Shannon Moore James Yun (Akio) David Heath (Gangrel) Billy Kidman Spike Dudley Kevin Fertig |
The Masterpiece.
GOOOONE. |
Kind of surprised that Marty Jannetty got it, I mean at least the new heel Shawn Michaels could have used him as a punching bag/ squash match or could have been used in the Master Lock challenge, again of course squashed again
|
Charlie Haas could have been big with a couple of years more.. The only other one I care about is Akio.
|
Damn it... Haas could have been so much more, but after he and Shelton split, he was teaming with HOLLY on VELOCITY.
|
Out of all of them, the only one I really gave a damn about was Haas mainly because I was banking on a potential Haas/Benjamin feud.
If they cut Benjamin I will really flip a bitch. |
Haas would be a solid pick up for TNA
|
mannnn Charlie :'(

NOTE TO ALL WWE DIVAS: Don't get pregnant or we will fire you!
|
I feel like I'm keeping track of trades in the MLB and NBA right before the trade deadline.
|
notice how a large majority of those released are SmackDown! and not Raw folks.
|
NOTE TO ALL WWE DIVAS: After Playboy, you have no use, we will fire you!
