Has anyone ever been brought back from Releases?

I was just wondering if the WWE have ever rehired anyone they released? I was just hoping that if they have there is more chance of Hardy, Haas, Kidman, Spike etc. coming back?

Xero 07-08-2005 03:55 PM

Do you mean generally close to when they were released or ever? Because I can name a shitload of wrestlers who have come back after a few years.

snakeboss 07-08-2005 04:03 PM

Ever.

Kinda like:

'Joey Joe Bob Shabado has been released from his contract. The WWE wish him the best in his future endeavors.'

Then, anytime later.

'Joey Joe Bob Shabado made a shocking return to WWE last night'

Like, the WWE changed their minds and brought them back.

Nark Order 07-08-2005 04:05 PM

Many.

snakeboss 07-08-2005 04:07 PM

Any that are still with the company?

Xero 07-08-2005 04:09 PM

Hogan, Nash, Hall, Raven, X Pac, Steiner... Now that I think about it, like two-thirds of the WCW roster who was ever in the WWF/E.

More recently, Eddie Guerrero.

snakeboss 07-08-2005 04:13 PM

Eddie was released???!!! I bet the WWE are glad they brought him back.

As for me, I'm hoping the WWE will bring back:

Charlie Haas.
Rhyno.
Billy Kidman.
Spike Dudley.
Mark Jindrak.
Molly Holly.

So much talent...wasted. :nono:

Xero 07-08-2005 04:16 PM

Yeah, when Eddie had all of his drug problems he was out for a year or so and they resigned them when he got his act together.

I believe that Austin was resigned as well, although I'm not positive if he actually lost his contract when he walked out.

Another one would be Brock Lesnar.

Also, Viscera and Gangrel. (Although Gangrel was hardly on the active roster.)

Just John 07-08-2005 05:15 PM

Nah, he had about 2 matches on Smackdown

Yeah, but he was technically signed.

KayfabeMan 07-08-2005 05:37 PM

Brian Christopher is another guy who was brought back from being released, and then was released again - both times due to his drug problems I beleive.

Like everyone said above, tons of guys qualify here.

Eunos 07-09-2005 07:31 PM

Viscera is an obvious one

And Stone Cold aswell

Loose Cannon 07-09-2005 08:00 PM

yea, like 500 guys

V 07-09-2005 08:39 PM

no.

WWE has never re-hired someone they fired.

Doing that would be completely ridiculous and hypocritical. I know I'd be pretty pissed off if the WWE fired me and then begged me to come back, I would slap them.

If you are fired, there is obviously something wrong, and that something can obviosuly never change for every single last person fired by the wwe, and the WWE will NEVER re-hire someone, even if they fired the entire roster.

Loose Cannon 07-09-2005 08:47 PM

what are you talking about? did you read the thread

people just named guys that were fired and brought back.

V 07-09-2005 09:08 PM

LOL

come on man, it was such a broad and stupid question, i had to play off it... i was surprised nobody else did

It's like asking "did anyone ever kick out of the pedigree"

Loose Cannon 07-09-2005 09:13 PM

oh, I actually thought you were being sarcastic at first, but the way you wrote that made it seem like you were trying to prove a point.

my bad.

Of the currently employed WWE Wrestlers, the fallowing have been released and resigned...(please note I am just looking at the WWE SuperStar page so if they haven't updated their roster don't expect me to do it)

Jerry Lawler
Kane
Ric Flair
Stone Cold
Viscera
Al Snow
Eddie Guerrero
William Regal

OK, so there are the currently wrestling WWE guys who have been resigned after their release, there are only about 351 other wrestlers who qualify for this as well who arn't currently with WWE.

Actually his Fake Deisel gimmick lasted until January of 1997, however in February of 1997, he was released from his contract (even though Vince McMahon really enjoyed his work) so when they came up for the storyline of Kane in September of 1997, Glen Jacobs was the first one they called. So....................the end.
