Heyman Rumor...
Reported by Ryan Clark on 07.09.2005
- There are RUMORS coming out of Louisville that on Wednesday, 7/13, former ECW owner Paul Heyman will be taking over Jim Cornette duties of match making and possibly doing color commentator with Dean Hill. We will you keep posted. Credit: StevesWrestling.com Keyword: RUMOR. But still, if this rumor becomes a reality how sweet will that be? Heyman doing color commentary and match-making, as well as being a great influence to the youngsters . |
You know this would be for OVW right?
|
Paul Heyman doing OVW booking makes me wish my parents hadn't moved from the Louisville area before I was born.

It's scary that if this happens, OVW, WWE's 'minor league', will have the potential to have better writing than 70% of the current storylines in WWE.
|
Whenever you hear people who worked for him talk about heyman they always mention that Paul always "brought out your best" and knew how to "accentuate the positives and hide the negatives." Basically, he made the people around him better.
So there's no better person for this position than Paul and I envy the education that those kids are going to get. |
^ Yeah, that's a good point. Everyone wins when Paul.E is around .
|
I'd be absolutely shocked if they put Heyman in charge in Louisville.
|
Heyman would be a GREAT person to prepare them for what's coming in the WWE though. Mostly because he's seen what they've done to ECW superstars. :(

Are you shocked, Rob?

I actually think Heyman is a better fit down there.
Heyman has a closer mindset for characters and angles to what the WWE does than Cornette ever did. |
Cornette is more old school...Heyman is cutting edge and more adaptive to changes in our society which effects what should be done in wrestling.
So hopefully this will be very helpful for everyone in OVW. |
Yes but will this help these kids when they get called up to the WWE though?

I think it will, shadow, although WWE will try their best to bury anyone Heyman has got over i fear and blame Heyman in the end.
That's sad but it's what i've come to expect from WWE. |
