Wow, pretty cool movie. I just watched it for the first time today. That thing killed everyone. And I was pretty shocked that it actually got the that blond haired kid in the sewer and killed him as well. Young Kids never die, at least in the horror movies I've seen.

First one was with Steve McQueen. It was very well done. The remake, the one you speak of was, pretty darn good too. Compared to the stuff they push out these days, it's Oscar worthy.

I haven't seen it in years. I bought the remake of it wanting to buy the original but forgetting bout the remake. Haven't watched the remake yet though.

Long time since i saw the re-make. I'll have to pick it up on DVD as i remember it being quite good. Wasn't there a religious nutcase who left the ending open for a sequel?

Speaking of 80's horror movies, just re-watched John Carpenters The Thing. Fucking awesome movie with brilliant special effects, 'specially the head detachment, and story. Carpenter at his best.
