If someone could clear something up for me...
 
...Yeah. This whole Matt Hardy thing. It sounds hella interesting, but I'm not sure I know exactly what is going on. I don't watch wrestling much, and watched my first RAW in two years a couple of weeks ago. My understanding is that Lita broke up with Matt Hardy in real life and in the storyline, supposedly Lita "screwed" Matt over, Matt gets kicked out of the WWE for some reason, Lita gets with Edge, and Matt gets hella pissed. Is that the main gist, am I missing something, or am I just totally off and have all my facts fucked up? I've been listening to the Byte This! interview with Lita and Matt Hardy, and well, I'm not sure if Byte This! is supposed to be fake or if its actually real. So yeah, I'm not quite sure what's going on. Thanks for any help I receive. Rep to anyone who clears it up a bit for me.

Lita cheated on Matt with Edge and Matt whined about it on his website and was thusly fired. Fans wanted Matt, so Matt was rehired and now they're workshooting this piece.

You could read any of the other 49 threads about it where people answer, but I'll reply anyway. :p


REAL (as far as I know)
- Lita cheats on Matt, gets with Edge
- Matt removes Lita pics and bitches online
- Matt gets fired from WWE
- Matt bitches some more
- Fans support Matt at events
- Vince invites Matt back

FAKE:
- Monday's fight
- Byte this interview (it was a worked shoot)


Edge and Lita had their fling and aren't actually dating anymore; Edge is trying to reconcile with his wife. Matt is on okay terms with Lita atm. Matt isn't under contract to WWE atm, so he's prolly getting paid for single appearances for now. He's got a ROH match on like Sunday.

Who says Matt isn't under contract? If he isn't it's really foolish on WWE's part, as Matt could just no show his appearances. He could build up this whole thing and then just not show up.

My bet is that Matt has a contract, but either the WWE are allowing him to work the dates he already set or he has a contract which allows him to work anywhere.

Well if rumours are true(that WWE has been funding RoH) then it's likely that those dates were setup to make the angle seem more realistic

Matt Hardy got genital herpes from Lita, who got them from Edge, and now they're making a big angle out of it.
