Devil's rejects

The Rob Zombie sequel to House of 100 corpses comes to theatre's July 22nd.It looks pretty cool and has Diamond Dallas Page in it lol

All the regular character's are back but they got a different actress playing the mother.

el fregadero 07-15-2005 04:23 AM

BANG

Boondock Saint 07-15-2005 05:59 AM

I like House the more I see it and I can't wait for this. I hear it's more action-oriented than horror, so that should be interesting. It's supposedly really different from House in terms of style too, so all I really hope for is balls to the wall mayhem.

Shaggy 07-15-2005 09:19 AM

lol...I have had House for about half a year now and havnt watched it once since I got it...I purchased it somewhere for like 2 dollars on DVD.

I guess I really need to watch it because I wanna see Devils Rejects and I bet you might have to see the first to understand this one...

Along with DDP I also heard that Chris Jericho has a small role in it....now whether that is true or not I dont know because that rumour came out back when all the "This WWE Star is starting in this movie" rumours came out.

Disturbed316 07-15-2005 09:35 AM

Well that might be true, remember how they showed an advert for it during ONS.

Jason Cage 07-15-2005 01:15 PM

Actually, Rob Zombie said in an interview, that whoever liked or didn't like 1000 Corpses will be getting something different. He said something about the first being a gorefest and this one being more oriented...or somehting resembling those lines.

So it's a sequel but you don't really need to know anything about Ho1C cause it'll be a movie of it's own. Kinda fucked up tyring to explain cause I vaguely remember his words. All I know for sure is that he said we'll be getting something different.

I believe they had a more thorough article about it on ign.

el fregadero 07-15-2005 03:23 PM

The first one was pretty sweet, and I don't really care for horror films.

Loose Cannon 07-16-2005 12:48 PM

yea, House was great, I want to see this too. That Otis guy looks cool in this one.

Lotus 07-21-2005 01:55 AM

I've never seen previews that have made a movie look more badass. I've been dying to see this one for months.

Boondock Saint 07-21-2005 04:52 AM

Just watched House, with Rob Zombie commentary. Even more pumped for this now.

Anybody Thrilla 07-21-2005 11:00 AM

I saw a sneak preview of Rejects yesterday. As far as plot goes, it was pretty pointless, but there was enough gore in it to keep me interested the entire time. Pretty funny too in a sick, sadistic way. I'd say go see it, but I'd also say go smoke pot first.

Champion of Europa 07-22-2005 03:33 PM

I saw it last night in an employee only screening, and I fucking loved it. Everyone in the movie was at the top of their game. Tons of funny stuff and tons of sick gore.

Tutti fucking fruity.

Boondock Saint 07-22-2005 04:52 PM

Good to hear. :y:

Well this is good to hear. The critic in my local paper stated in big letters on the entertainment cover page "THE WORST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN"...... and is a textbook for future serial rapists, serial killers and wife abusers

Loose Cannon 07-22-2005 08:58 PM

awesome

Lotus 07-22-2005 09:04 PM

Yeah, the San Jose Mercury News gave it one star out of a possible four. But those fuckers are rarely on point and are so damn chincy about giving out good ratings. So that won't deter me from watching this masterpiece.

Lara Emily 07-23-2005 02:57 AM

Does it come as any surprise that I loved this fucking movie to death. Hell the end almost made me cry (ok so I'm somehwat insane sue me). Ho1kC was awesome but this was amazing.

Loose Cannon 07-23-2005 12:16 PM

I hear Freebird ends the movie :y:

But that was the point. They completely flipped it around this time to where the killers are the ones you sympathize with. Even though the logical part of me was saying that they deserved it, I was overwhelmed with pity. I guess since it shows how close they are as a family, it makes you sad to see them go.

I'm well aware of that, the psychological help was more towards actually wanting to cryduring a horror film.

Jaton 07-23-2005 04:56 PM

Gotcha.

DegenerationY 07-24-2005 01:27 AM

Holy shit, that movie was awesome.

Cheesy acting, but I expected that. Fucking great movie

Champion of Europa 07-24-2005 01:40 AM

I love my job. I have a Devil's Rejects t-shirt, shot glass, 5 buttons including one of Captain Spaulding that reads "Top Secret Clown Business", and a soundtrack. All for free.

I also saw the movie early, and watch parts when I'm on break. We're trying to see who can see it the most. I'm gonna try to see it at least 7 more times.

Sweet Jesus, I love this movie.

Boondock Saint 07-29-2005 12:45 AM

Just saw it. Loved it. I like House but it obviously had problems. This was a major step up. A throwback to the 70's exploitation films. Good stuff.
And had a rockin' soundtrack.
:y:

Boondock Saint 07-29-2005 12:47 AM

Oh, and loved the ending. Great.

What Would Kevin Do? 07-29-2005 08:28 AM

Just saw it... Loved it.

Although the ending was saaaad.

Lara Emily 08-01-2005 01:16 AM

I'm up to 4 times, will be 5 by the end of tommorrow.

Champion of Europa 08-01-2005 01:32 AM

OK, considering how many other movies I watch, 7 is unreasonable. I've seen it once, and I'll just buy it when it comes out on DVD.

Lotus 08-12-2005 02:55 AM

Yup. Just saw it today. Kicked serious ass :y:. Rob Zombie and I think alike, as far as movies are concerned and shit.

The Greater Power 08-12-2005 04:56 PM

I totally loved this movie. I only "sorta liked" House of 1000 Corpses, mainly because the storyline was very basic.

But this one actually had different scenery, and wasn't so dark as the first one.

Def. worth the buy.

Triple A 08-12-2005 05:25 PM

It was pretty good, I guess. Kept my interest.

Jason Cage 10-01-2005 06:48 PM

Just saw this a few days ago. Seen it baout 5 times now and this is defienetly one or the best movie of 2005. Fuckin crazy. Quite intense.

Had a kickass dialogue with some kick-ass one liners. William Forsythe, Sid, Sheri and Bill were fucking incredible.

The soundtrack was kickass and for a low-budget film this is a masterpiece. No idea why this magnificent piece of work failed at the box office. Blah whatever, reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction were also box office failures so I dont give a fuck.

Anyway there was also some rofling happening in there.

I fuckin loved this movie.

Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction made tons of cash.

Jason Cage 10-02-2005 02:05 AM

Reservoir Dogs: Total US Gross $2,832,029
Pulp Fiction: 107 mil domestically

right i was off on Pulp Fiction but blah. Doesnt change the fact that The Devil's Rejects kicked fucking ass.

Fubar28 10-31-2005 05:37 PM

Anyone that cares it comes out on DVD in a little over a week (Nov 8th US). There will be an unrated version Amazon & a few other places have it. So far the one big difference between the rated & unrated is a very long documentary on the making of the movie.

The Greater Power 10-31-2005 05:41 PM

FYI, "very long" = 2.5 hours (regarding the post above me).

- according to DVDEmpire

Thanks having issues over hear. My cable is all fucked up today. Took 3 tries to get that typed.

Downunder 10-31-2005 07:02 PM

It wasn't as bad as 1000 Corpses but it was still shitty.

Boring.

But LOL at the Thelma and Louise ending.
