Casual "mark" fans = Dumb

How many casual fans do you think know that Nova and Simon Dean are the same person? I mean one minute they are booing Dean, and the next they could be cheering for the bWo. So there isn't a right or wrong answer, but what percentage of WWE fans know that two characters are played by the same guy?

Well you are talking about the same audience that has chanted USA during Bret Hart vs. Yokozuna, chanted USA to Hassan who claims he's a true patriot, and boos Christian

well since a lotta them seem to be teeny boppers who only started watchin in 2003 or so and never watched any ECW, I'm sure that probably over 90% of them don't know

AND don't even get me started on the whole YOU SUCK chant to Kurt Freakin Angle

Kurt Angle does suck. I mean what can he do? Can he pose pointlessly for 15 minutes? Can he give the exact same promo week in and week out for 30 minutes every time? Can he make shitty raps with penis and gay jokes interjected? Can he bully people backstage? Can he wrestle for 2 minutes and then get blown up?

At least 65%, I would say, but only because of One Night Stand and Joey Styles's commentary.

I would say 50%...basically the entire Internet community + ECW fans + a handful of casual fans that made the connection on their own or through subtle hints. :)

I was wondering that same thing tonight. After Simon Dean was moved to Smackdown and then appeared as Nova with the bWo I was under the impression that WWE were turning him back into Nova and that we had seen the last of Simon Dean. Apparently I was wrong. It seems now that he is going to be portraying both characters. Weird considering one is heel and constantly cuts promos insulting the fans while the other is a silent face. Only thing I can figure is that the bWo thing is temporary.

But we're talking casual fans... so prolly almost no one knows they're the same guy.

I think this is brilliant, having the same guy play both a heel and a face. Like I've said a million times before, it's awesome.

It'd be funny if Simon Dean wrestles the Blue Meanie.

Hey, I got an idea. Why not further the WWE's idea of anti-kayfabe and have Mike Bucci be revealed to have a split personality disorder? :lol:

Seriously, he's wrestling as Nova, then suddenly breaks into his Simon Dean gimmick out of nowhere, cutting a "fat people are bad" promo on his opponent, maybe even turning on Blue Meanie. Then, as Simon Dean the next week, have him with that blue star around his eye. Then...he goes insane!

I always liked that idea when the Undertaker was the badass. I figured it'd be pretty funny if he got confused and came out with purple gloves and a vest on a bike to the ministry theme. :D

Altho he can be any gimmick he wants... I wish they'd just let him lose and have him do those innovative maneuvers. It's BWO vs Mexicools this Sunday, so maybe he'll be able to bust out his Bulldog/DDT/Legdrop move. :love:
