Teddy Long says Muhammad Hassan can go to RAW

Quote:

In a new WWE.com video clip, SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long tells Muhammad Hassan that although he's not welcome on SmackDown, he can feel free to go to RAW. The full transcript of the worked promo is below:

"For the past month, Muhammad Hassan has been at the center of a media firestorm. From CNN to USA Today, headlines are all talking about Muhammad Hassan's controversial mission to become the world champion. At the Great American Bash, Muhammad Hassan said that if he did not defeat the Undertaker and become the number one contender, that he would never again appear on SmackDown. We all saw what happened at the Great American Bash. Mr. Hassan is a beaten man - physically and emotionally, with all of his injuries. Now, Mr. Hassan, if you're thinking about coming back to SmackDown...we don't want you, playa. You can go to RAW, or you could go anywhere else on this planet, but as far as I'm concerned, you can go to hell!"

Now hopefully the top heel in wrestling will come back

Scarface 07-27-2005 03:34 PM

This is what I figured they'd do with him. Although he could have made a bigger impact on Smackdown.

Fryza 07-27-2005 03:35 PM

Hopefully they'll send him to RAW, but knowing the WWE, they'll just release him.

What about Daivari though? I'm certain he's not taken off TV, is he?

Londoner 07-27-2005 03:38 PM

I imagine Dalvari would go with Hassan, just like he did when Hassan got drafted. No one ever mentioned Dalvari did they?He just appeared with Hassan.

I am glad this has happened, atleast i can picture Hassan as WWE champ.Batista needs better competition.

Yeah, it sounds like good news, put good old pessimnism suggests that he'll never come back.

Still though :y:

Hassan back on Raw can only be a good thing. Except for the fact that he lost to Cena in a squash match before leaving. How can he make a good challenger then?

I meant sometime in the future, not right away.

Yeah but it'll be good if he comes back. Hey maybe he can even become WWE champ before HHH comes back

Maybe this was all part of HHH's plan to come back as a face? Y'know, by going up against Hassan? I call conspiracy!

Shaggy 07-27-2005 03:56 PM

well...I hope this means they are going to use Hassan again. I hope he returns to Raw because wrestling isnt the same with out his interruptions now...

Would be funny as hell if they waited a while...then brought him back and he returned to a face pop.

Londoner 07-27-2005 04:00 PM

It would be silly after GAB for Hassan to return so soon, but then you know WWE's logic.

dalegendkilla 07-27-2005 04:02 PM

This still means Smackdown got screwed out of one superstar in the draft. Meaning Raw got 5, Smackdown got 4. I hope Smackdown will get a replacement but I doubt it.

Savio 07-27-2005 04:03 PM

Maybe SD will get....THE BOOGEY MAN!

"Bah gawd HHH just fell 40 feet in that car!"

Corkscrewed 07-27-2005 04:12 PM

^^ prolly... He's more controversial than Hassan tho... he furthers the stereotype that all black guys are really Haitian voodoo demons...

But Hassan on TV can only be a good thing.

blake639raw 07-27-2005 04:32 PM

I hope this means that he is coming back to RAW.

I can't wait to hear him talk about how the UPN execs proved him right, how they are all discriminators. All this media controversy can be turned into a huge positive. The WWE needs to be really careful how they handle this situation, but they could have a huge draw on their hands.

Just what i was thinking of when i posted that.

El Santo 07-27-2005 05:32 PM

Hassan isn't fired. The WWE loves controversy. Heck, they probably fanned the flames on purpose just to keep the controversy alive. If you need any proof, notice that they continued the terrorist gimmick by slamming the media, everybody's favorite whipping boy. And then continued the gimmick at GAB. The WWE would never let go of a guy that is getting them free publicity in the mainstream press ... outside of Hogan's reality show on VH1.

No publicity is bad publicity, after all.

LK 07-27-2005 06:45 PM

YES!

Batsu 07-27-2005 07:39 PM

ALEEEYEEEEELEEEAAAAA...

Praise be to the heavens!

SammyG 07-27-2005 07:41 PM

i hope he does go to raw. but i dont think wwe wants to deal with this issue anymore, all the media and shit, so they will just release him. AAAALLIIYAAHHHHH

Nervous Ferret 07-27-2005 07:43 PM

you make my head hurt sammyg :(

Loose Cannon 07-27-2005 08:14 PM

Fuck Yes

He's definately going to Raw. They wouldn't post that on WWE.com if they had no plans for him to go. They would just want people to forget about him.

well, at least I hope :-\

Gone Mad 07-27-2005 09:04 PM

Finally, we can hear that great theme once again. They could never kill off a great character like that, it would be foolish. MERCI!

Bixente 07-27-2005 10:12 PM

As far as I'm concerned, Teddy, you can go to hell yourself, playa!!

They will get Brock though.

Yeah, Hassan is one of the freshest up-and-comers in the WWE, but he is a better RAW fit, since his character gets him more over than his in-ring talent (not to say that he doesn't have any in-ring talent).

Brock Lesner is a better fit for SmackDown. His talent is what gets him over more, and he is already a well-established star there, something SD needs.

Personally, I was somewhat confused on why they moved Hassan to SD in the first place.

Kane Knight 07-27-2005 11:12 PM

So he could be squashed by new people. ;)

loopydate 07-27-2005 11:15 PM

So much for my dream of seeing Muhammad Hassan as United States Champion...

But still, this is good news. Better news would be if WWE didn't cave to the pressure in the first place, but I'll take this over another lengthy OVW stint for Magnus any day.

vampiro03 07-27-2005 11:27 PM

brock vs batista is inevitable so, brock is going to sd. JBL won't be happy he'll be #3 instead of #1

He should just be glad he's #3 instead of the #84 he was pre-goose-step.

I was just watching some of my old raw tapes and he looks sooo different.lol the long black hair, goatee and not pearly white teeth

ddpBANG 07-28-2005 05:45 AM

I'm waiting for the day we hear ALEEEYEEEEELEEEAAAAA right in the middle of the Carlito's Cabana segment. I know alot of people want him to become WWE champ, or at least challenge for it, but that'd kill Jericho's push yet again.

The attacks on Undertaker trying to choke him out are something he did wrong. Plus, he's Arab American, so Theodore Long is probably racist. ;)

Blanka 07-28-2005 11:19 AM

LMAO

This reminds me, I'm going to SmackDown! August 23... and I'm going to take a sign that says "UPN GOT HASSAN'D"

:shifty:

Long has no grapefruits

Disturbed316 07-28-2005 11:30 AM

If that was on UPN, they would have made them change it to "you can go to heck!"
