Who cares about the Boogeyman?

Actual open question, with a poll coming in a minute. Who here actually is interested in this guy, and who isn't?

Kane Knight 08-01-2005 03:23 PM

"I don't really care either way" IS more or less an "I'm not interested, but I'm not disinterested." Sort of neutral.

Savio 08-01-2005 03:23 PM

I'd like to see what he does.

Gone Mad 08-01-2005 03:49 PM

It looks dumb, I really don't care. Although it's funny hearing "I'M THE BOOGEYMAN, AND I'M COMING TO GET YOU!" classic Boogeyman.

Fignuts 08-01-2005 03:50 PM

He looks kinda like that villain from the movie "Legend".

Yeah, I love it when he says that.

Disturbed316 08-01-2005 05:05 PM

I REALLY don't care.

LK 08-01-2005 08:04 PM

I'm curious to see what this wrestling in the rain shit is all about

vampiro03 08-01-2005 08:06 PM

is he going to roll to the ring under a bed?

Marcyo 08-01-2005 08:08 PM

I'm sort of interested. He looks like he's gonna be hilarous.

Pegasus Crawford 08-01-2005 08:14 PM

Let's just see how the creative team handles this guy...

SuperSlim 08-01-2005 08:28 PM

it looks retarded to me so I'm really not interested

darkpower 08-01-2005 08:30 PM

Like I said before, I'll wait until we actually see the guy, since I think it's unfair to judge a wrestler just by his intro promos alone. He might turn out to kick ass.

I may end up enjoying him for the same reason I enjoy HEI-DEN-REICH.

nah his first couple of matches against jobbers were kinda cool. once he became more "human" it just went straight downhill.

He reminds me of the Djinn from Magic who dealt one damage to you every reound you owned him.

FourFifty 08-01-2005 09:12 PM

Charlie Hass is out of a job and they're bringing in THIS CRAP!?!?!?

Chavo Classic 08-02-2005 10:15 AM

Tsk, the Boogeyman isn't real. He's a made-up thing designed to scare kids, like Michael Jackson.

But seriously, if the creative team doesn't take his gimmick too serious and has a little fun then this could parallel Heidenreich in the 'so crap and embarrasing that it's entertaining' stakes.

Eunos 08-02-2005 10:57 AM

truth be told it sounds like Wrestlecrap in the making.

Mordicai the 2nd.

Morgan 08-02-2005 11:01 AM

Now that I've seen the picture of him, I'm not as interested. Still we'll never know until he debuts. Eunos sounds about right though.

Mordecai:nono:

Jacko IS real. HE was made up to scare people, but he's mroe like Frankenstein.

Chavo Classic 08-02-2005 11:24 AM

Before someone says Frankenstein wasn't the monster, he was the creator blah blah yah blah, can I say fuck off ?

Kane Knight 08-02-2005 11:53 AM

I too realise he's not the monster, but it's common terminology. I mean, Herman Munster was referred to as a Frankenstein...

Charlie couldn't pull off the horns.

Anybody Thrilla 08-02-2005 12:06 PM

I refuse to think anything sucks before they debut it. I say bring on the Boogeyman. It's something different and new, and I'm all for that.

I'm always confused as to what Lurch from the Addams Family was. Was he too a frankenstein, or was he just retarded?

I'm sorry, has the Boogeyman gimmick been done before?

Kane Knight 08-02-2005 12:59 PM

I think he was an ogre. ;)

Vastardikai 08-02-2005 01:41 PM

I know someone who does...

http://www.obsessedwithwrestling.com...ornette/05.jpg

and he'll slap you if you don't...

The Ravishing One 08-03-2005 03:34 AM

I'm kind of interested.

LK 08-04-2005 09:55 AM

Got this from wrestleview.com and couldn't help but find it funny:

Quote:

The story floating around television this week is that Marty Wright who plays The Boogeyman character hyper extended both of his knees working house shows this past weekend. There is no word yet if Wright (who is said to be a stiff worker and has roughed up a few workers because of his inexperience) will miss any ring time as he was walking around backstage at the tapings without a limp.
An eyewitness account of what happened

Quote:

I attended the Smackdown! House Show in Bangor this past Saturday and I'm not sure if this is where the injury occurred, but Boogeyman did this stupid taunt where he jumps. On the way down he landed normal, only to slip and fall on his ass. He was limping the rest of the match after that.

To answer your question Kane Knight, I beleive his mum cares for him.

Maybe if that option was up I'd vote for it.

The boogeyman doesn't have a mum. He's a character.

Impact! 08-04-2005 10:54 AM

Chavo Classic 08-04-2005 01:08 PM

The Boogeyman botched himself
