2nd Ashes Test
 

Brave fight from the Aussies this morning, unlucky to go down by 2 runs in the end.

Was all pumped to come on here and declare English sport dead and burried if we'd gotten up after needing 107 with only Warne, Lee and Kaspa to bat.

Flintoff was huge though overall, 141 runs and 7 wickets.

3rd test starts in a couple of days, should be a good match. Wonder if we'll bring in another spinner. Could all depend on how Brett Lee is though, he copped a pounding this morning while batting. A couple of the blows he copped on the arm and hard were absolute scorchers.

Don't understand what the selectors see in Lee to be honest, can't remember him having a tight spell in like the last year. Of course he probably has, just I choose not to remember it :o

Sure, he's a "good athlete" which Lawry et al won't let us forget but fuck he gives away a lot of unnecessary runs.

Also it would be nice for big reliable Queenslander Haydos to make some runs next time :o

We were pretty lucky really, should have finished it off without any trouble but the win is all that matters. The last wicket was debatable too, though i guess you win some, you lose some.

Lee is a decent batsmen aswell thats probably why he gets picked over others.But his pace is incredible, im amazed aussies still question him(cocky bastards ;) )

Lee is gold. Top line bowler, complements McGrath's line and length really well. Be interesting to see how Tait goes if both Lee and McGrath have to sit out the next test. He probably won't play if we go two spinners though.

This ashes series is almost as much of a joke as NZ playing Zimbabwe at the moment.
