Burchill has started working WWE house shows

And they are tagging him up with Regal on the smackdown shows, basically this is what i'd thouhgt they's do with him anyway, no word on if his style has been toned down, but still, fair play to the guy

Jaton 08-08-2005 02:01 PM

He's the guy with the backflipping-rock bottom kind of move right? I hope they let him keep that. I think it could be WWE's answer to The Canadian Destroyer. Maybe.

Mr. JL 08-08-2005 02:05 PM

I don't know. I doubt half of the WWE roster would be eligible to take that move. The only one who looks like they'd be willing, and and more importantly able, would be Paul London.

Jaton 08-08-2005 02:06 PM

That is a good point. Perhaps he could have another one, for situations like that?

not really, it's like taking a hip toss for the guy recieving it

I don't think the WWE needs an answer to the Canadian Destroyer. TNA is a threat to WWE as a mustard stain is a threat to a pair of pants. Sure it's difficult to get out, but in the grand scheme of things, it's trivial.

but they were nice trousers and by the time I realised it was really dried in, in conclusion I really miss those trousers

Anybody Thrilla 08-08-2005 02:16 PM

The point is, you can still WEAR them. They're not going to destroy the pants.

Really? I suppose you would definitely know more about it than i would, since you have actually been trained, and been in the ring. It just looks like it would require a lot of well placed timing in order to make the move look credible. I can envision a lot of miscues occuring with the move, like one guy flipping too fast or too slow, flipping at the wrong times, or even flipping and landing on top of each other.

But it's mustard man! And they were dinner trousers, the mustard is yellow! It stands out like a sore thumb! I 'could' in theroy wear the trousers again, but i'd look stupid.

Anyway I decided to buy new ones

Jaton 08-08-2005 02:19 PM

Oh no, I'm not saying TNA is anywhere near a threat at the moment. I'm just saying that they put a lot of emphasis on the Canadian Destroyer and even though Petey is a heel, he still gets big pops when he does it.

I was simply making the point that perhaps Burchill's move will have the same reaction, the same impact.

Judging fromt he way each guy moves it's basically an over the top arm drag, the pressure is on Burchill to get the timing right, the other guy just has to basically take a big hip toss.

PureHatred 08-08-2005 02:26 PM

All I know is, Burchill owns you all on EWR.

Damn right. He's the first guy I ever signed that I'd never heard of, simply based on his in-game attributes. Did not regret that.

Stuck him in development for a while. He comes out with slightly above average Charisma, but all his in-ring attributes are 93+. Sick.

Chavo Classic 08-08-2005 04:30 PM

Burchill starts the FWA invasion. Next week Hampden Court is going to destroy MNM and Jodie Fleisch (aka Jesus in wrestling boots) is going to attack Nunzio to become new Cruiserweight champion.

...or perhaps not.

Chavo Classic 08-08-2005 04:31 PM

I don't know about you guys, but when Burchill finally debuts on tv, I am going to mark out like a schoolgirl to Jeff Hardy whipping off his shirt at a TNA taping. The man is the saviour of British wrestling.

Seriously though, they should sign Jodie if he can get back to his old look, he's not a chizzled as he once was, but i still one the best in ring performers outside of the wwe IMO

Chavo Classic 08-09-2005 01:00 PM

Jodie's been gone from the ring for so long that you wonder if he'll ever get his shizzle back together. At his prime, at FWA Revival, he looked immense.

There's still the mystery of why he was out of the business for so long though.

Jordan 08-09-2005 01:10 PM

I saw him an Regal team up, they were awesome together.

Chavo Classic 08-09-2005 04:03 PM

I REALLY hope they bring in Burchill. The guy's obviously got talent, and Regal can carry him to some entertaining promos and stuff. If Regal decides to step out, you have an instant manager for Burchill.

Plus the WWE really needs tag teams. Regal & Burchill could help solve that problem. They'd be easy to turn face as well. Regal is so awesome when it comes to comedy stuff, and Burchill reminds me of a British Brock Lesnar.

Plus the storyline between Regal & Scotty is right there. Have Scotty team up with Funaki and you have your match.

I've seen a few matches since his return, doesn't look like he's missed a beat really :y:

Ol Dirty Dastard 08-09-2005 10:01 PM

Yes, I know precisely who Burchill is :shifty:
