well guys, in the pic below bret has locked hbk in a move like the crippler crossface. what is this move called and is it where the crippler crossface originated from?:cool:

i know. it is the crossface applied by "The Crippler" Chris Benoit. In this move Benoit does not apply pressure to back with his knees like this pic but locks one hand of the opponent in btwn his legs. but the crossface applied in this pic looks similar to Benoit's version. well do u know what this move is called?

To be honest, I don't know the origin of the Crippler Crossface. I've heard other people say that he learned it in the Hart Dungeon, while others swear that he picked it up in Japan from Dean Malenko.

I think that he took it from Dean Malenko

Don't know where the move came from but the crippler nickname came from Benoit nearly crippling sabu (I think) back in the ECW.
