I refuse to sign that thing. I stopped reading at "fully developed and believable characters", b/c that is NOT what I want. I have those at work, and I hate them. Give me superheroes, clowns and men in gold jumpsuits. Give me zombies, Aztecs and millionaires. But do not bore me with your everyday humdrum "characters".

What is wrong with the fans today? The problem is not the characters. Most of them are fantastic! They're just being improperly used. THAT'S ALL. If the writers would THINK -- which I have always assumed is what they're paid to do -- then everything would be fine.

You don't START a character with depth and development, you BUILD those attributes thru his career. You don't want "believable" characters; you want something to cheer for! These are elementary rules for any kind of entertainment, and dammit, you nay-sayers need to get it thru your damn heads!

Figure out the situation and understand it. And then, if you think your actions will actually have an effect, you do whatever you need to do. But complaining about "bad characters" in the WWE is like going to a Ghallagher show and calling the watermellon boring.

Simple - if viewing figures begin to fall, Vince & co will realise there's a problem and make the changes themselves. They're going to see that petition and think 'wow, that's a lot of 12 year old kids in their mum's basement on there' and laugh.

The problem with Vince's logic, tho, is that he assumes the writing is good, and fires half the roster. Thus, we are out the likes of Sean O'haire, but in with the likes of Chris Masters -- oh, and the writing still sux. Equality doth abound.

I see what you're saying there, and you're spot on right. However, Vince must get these petitions every other day - from mark petitions like 'bring back the Rock' to smark petition such as 'how could you fire a pregnant Dawn Marie'. He doesn't take any notice of them.

The only way he will change the programming is if viewing figures drop to the point where he has to intervene. It's what happened when no-one was watching back in 1997 and WCW was kicking ass. This gave birth to the rejuvenated Attitude era. So, if you really want to make a statement, then just don't watch.
