Crash

just saw this today, pretty awesome. 68th of all time on IMDB. bunch of stories interwinding, etc etc. i'd tell you about it but you should just go see it. or if you have seen it, discuss it here with me, because it ruled.

RoXer 08-14-2005 03:03 PM

I wanted to seeit so bad, but I never got the chance. Is it still out in theatres? I might pick up the DVD if not.

No it's not, but it hits DVD on the 6th of Sept. so you might as well wait. (Unless you want to go to the shitty $2.50 theatre by the freeway)

Disturbed316 08-14-2005 03:13 PM

Which Crash are you talking about? The one with Sandra Bullock or the one where some guys fuck car crash victims?

The Mask 08-14-2005 03:15 PM

the one with sandra bullock. thankfully she wasn't in it a huge amount.

El Capitano Gatisto 08-14-2005 04:35 PM

I saw it tonight. Excellent stuff.

Good because the other one is pure bollocks.

AareDub 08-15-2005 02:29 AM

Yea, the old crash is quite horrible.

el fregadero 08-15-2005 03:04 AM

The old one sounds like it has a pretty good plot though.

Lotus 08-15-2005 04:09 AM

The only thing I remember about the old one is that it's NC-17. And oh yeah, I saw the trailer for it once, and it looked fucking weird.

Anyways, the new Crash is the best movie of 2005. And it's still in theatres in San Jose, at least this one theater.

El Capitano Gatisto 08-15-2005 08:57 AM

The old one isn't too bad.

Lara Emily 08-17-2005 01:01 AM

The other crash which has nothing to do with this crash was based of an awesome novel by JG Ballard and was directed perfectly by David Cronenberg, it brought the book to cinematic life beautifully.

The 2005 Crash is an amazing movie also. Directed by the same person who wrote million Dollar Baby.

Zen v.W.o. 08-17-2005 01:10 AM

The old crash had that canadian dude in it who played casey jones in ninja turtles. It was odd, and sexual. I've seen it like 4 times.

Wouldnt mind seeing this crash either.

PapaGeorgio 08-17-2005 01:32 AM

I was actually thinking bout seeing it tomorrow. Just saw its still playing at theater by me. I should probably just wait for dvd but I really prefer big theater screen. Also I might be only one in theater which would be awesome.

HeartBreakMan2k 09-17-2005 01:13 AM

Finally had some extra cash and picked it up on DVD the other day. Absolutely incredible movie.

Bazooka 09-17-2005 01:36 AM

nice timing for bump, cause I was about to as I just saw it... yea it was an awesome movie, spine chilling (drama kind). Also it's 48th on imdb but that changes frequently I guess.

Everyone should see it.

Joey Slugs 09-17-2005 04:09 AM

rented it and watched it last night. i personally thought it sucked, but my girlfriend loved it. eh. what can ya do?

G 09-17-2005 09:06 AM

It went pretty fast to dvd. Wasn't it just in theaters in August?

Ol Dirty Dastard 09-17-2005 11:40 AM

No, it was in theatres in like April or May.

Fucking sick movie, just saw it lastnight.

RP 09-17-2005 03:01 PM

So in the old Crash, these guys actaully showed up to a car wreck and whipped it out and started fucking these people while there still strapped upside down in there seatbelts or something?

Favre4Ever 09-17-2005 03:49 PM

I have never seen a movie with Sandra Bullock in it, and i'm sure as hell not starting now.

G 09-17-2005 04:34 PM

No, I distinctly remember hearing about it in July/August.

Crash Band

G 09-17-2005 04:44 PM

Then again, my theater always get movies long after their release.

Jason Cage 09-17-2005 07:32 PM

Fuckin awesome movie...but not 68th of all time material.

Crash Band

It was in the theaters as late as August. But it had been out since April. Surprised it went so quickly to DVD. Usually there's a bit of a longer lay-off period between in the theater stage and rental stage.

G 09-18-2005 08:09 AM

Yeah I saw the release date on imdb.com being something like May 6th. My old theater only had 2 screens, so it always got shit way late than the rest.

RoXer 09-24-2005 12:16 PM

Wow. Saw it last night. Definitly a great movie. Its not one I plan on buying though. Its only good once for shock value.

Disturbed316 09-24-2005 05:17 PM

The old Crash was on tv the other night, such a fucked up film.

Destor 09-24-2005 06:40 PM

One of the best movies I have ever been privileged to witness. Greatness personified.

The Outlaw 10-12-2005 09:27 PM

Great movie. Jumped to #53 on IMDB btw.

Boondock Saint 10-12-2005 11:47 PM

Watched this the other day. Good stuff. :y:

Downunder 10-13-2005 10:22 AM

Yup pretty bloody good. :y:

I could watch it again.

McDoogle 10-13-2005 03:01 PM

This movie was fantastic.

It got my attention.

AareDub 10-20-2005 02:29 AM

Watched this the other night. It was good once, but it's nowhere near my "top movies" list. It had some bad editing choices IMO. I was soooo emotionally drained after the scene with the mexican guy and his daughter, that I didn't care about the rest of the movie right away. It also seemed like there were too many stories going on at once to really care about any of the characters, especially since so many of them were so easy to hate.

D Mac 04-15-2006 01:07 AM

I know this is an old thread but I just saw this tonight.

Fucking excellent movie. Well deserving of the Academy Award for Best Picture.

Buzzkill 04-15-2006 01:28 AM

It seemes one of the main themes of the movie is that everyone has prejudices, and you can everyone can be the victim of prejudice as well.

With that said, did Daniel (the Mexican guy) have any prejudices at all? He seemed like the one pure character in the whole movie.
